But how do people listen to audiobooks and do other tasks at the same time!? I can't even text and listen at the same time
@natalieb35474 жыл бұрын
I think if you want to listen to an audiobook you should do tasks that don’t require much thinking. I actually can’t listen to audiobooks if I’m not doing something with my hands even if it’s just playing a random game on my phone.

I can do other things as long as they don't involve words or any significant problem-solving. So, embroidery, folding laundry, tidying up, et cetera are all fair game.

Same! I can only drive and listen to them. If I'm doing anything (even mindless chores) my mind drifts and I can't concentrate
@SarahEsmaeWolfe4 жыл бұрын
I like listening to them when I'm washing dishes, doing laundry, cleaning, ect, and it actually really helps me because I hate those tedious tasks. I also really love listening to an audiobook while driving (like highway when I don't have to pay attention to where to turn or whatever) or taking a bath.

I listened to Chloe Brown for Reading Rush, too! Contemporary romance isn't my thing, but I was looking for a birthstone-cover book (I switched to pearl because alexandrite is just too complicated) on Hoopla and it was the first thing that popped up. What a lovely surprise of a story!

2019! I've seen the 2001 version way back - has a special place in my heart
@Shaegeeksout4 жыл бұрын
The 2019 version is far superior, because the mangaka is directly involved in it's creation, and is taking this opportunity to flush out the story. It's amazing, and I highly recommend!

I had the same question and there are so many seasons to choose from!!

Watch the 2019 Fruits basket!!! It’s so much better, the art style is superior, AND they’re following the manga very closely! No weird/unfinished endings 😂

I've so enjoyed watching you get into romance! It's such a delightful genre and a great palate cleanser between heavy fantasy lol. Can't WAIT until you get to Dani Brown, because it's chef's kiss perfection! btw, I hope you're not using Assassin's Quest for the "book that states with 'The'" challenge because there's no The at the front of it. It's just Assassin's Quest, not THE Assassin's Quest. Assassin's Apprentice, Royal Assassin, Assassin's Quest. (Then again you read The Girl Who Drank the Moon so you've already done that i guess!)

Does anyone know any YA books that are about like lost glory?Like the main character could have been royalty or something and they lost all of that and they need to live a normal life and try to get it back, and it is set in like the middle ages or some other era but it needs to be like a different time period and also fantasy. And it will be nice if there is romance in it as well, bonus points if it is like enemies to lovers or something similar. It also really matter if at the end they regain everything or not. It will also be nice but totally optional if there was a scene where the character is really excited if they like see something that reminds them of their old life and he keeps going on and ranting about like really small things like how the sun created shadows in the throne room or the bells that rang every Sunday, and like small stuff that used to happen before, and then the character remembers and its smile fades and says in a melancholic tone ‘but that was when i had it all’ or something along the lines. Please can anyone help? I would really like to read something like this.
