I so enjoy your reading vlogs! Your love of reading is infectious. Beyond the greatness that is The House in the Cerulean Sea, I also (and this might just be me) felt strong Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy vibes in the narration style, and that just added a sense of nostalgia on top of an already lovely reading experience. I had been on the fence about the Poppy War, but I think you've convinced me to give it a try. I like complex and flawed characters, but typically avoid politics-heavy books, so I figure it has a 50/50 shot of winning me over.

The Inuyasha theme at 11:13 in the background brought my entire childhood back to me HAHAHA I loveddddd that anime!! And I want to rewatch it as well, but 193 episodes, oh boy. So much. And Miroku's defining character trait being a pervert....!!! Like, this whole anime is dark, emotional, funny, light hearted, and just awesome, but I think I will just rewatch the movies or something and a tonne of random youtube compilations of characters to feel the vibes again. :P Your anime pilgrimage has made me want to do my own, too. I'm craving anime. Maybe a Bleach or Naruto revisit is in order, heheh. Edit: "I changed cos I was too stressed wearing white" I have never felt so seen.
