Hats off to the choreographers and the young women who performed this number. Absolutely beautiful, and so moving. Its good to see that such a difficult themed piece placed so highly. Congratulations to all.

This is a great dance. I’m a dancer and have been in a school shooting. It’s tragic and traumatic. It never goes out of your mind. I’m so happy somebody finally understood what’s going on.

I hope you don’t maimed the question but what school shooting were you in?

this was defineitly a tasteful way to apporach the topic. Ive seen dances do things about tragedies but they reenact parts and stuff. I like that the point was standing togther instead of just shock factor

Well the choreography was really bad tbh. The moves were really repetitive and the dance really has nothing to do with school shootings. If u watch the dance without music then you’d have no idea what it’s about
@dynishathompson99843 жыл бұрын
@@kiwi8535 I would agree that the choreo didn't match the song. The song was also uncomfortably slow compared to the original version which had dynamics. I saw several dancers singing the lyrics and as an ensemble they lacked emotion. The older dancers had emotion but the younger ones didn't grasp the concept.

Everyone thinks it can’t happen to them, it won’t happen to them, until it does. This is why we need stricter gun laws. It’s not going to stop EVERY event, but it will stop enough of them. My heart breaks for every family, every friend, every teacher who lost someone this way. It’s awful just how little the country truly cares.

without having seen all the other dances in this section, especially the one that got first, as a dancer i'd have to say it'd probably have come down to technique scores or choreography scores. As beautiful as it is, and as emotional as the subject matter is, when it comes down to competing a dance, technique and choreography contribute a good chunk to the scores, so it's probably that the 1st place winner had a higher score in those aspects 🙂
