While I do have respect for your opinion, I have complaints about the narration. Almost everything in the text seemed biased, seemed as if it was explaining why you, as an individual would want ShellVision to be canon, rather than the actual facts, for example, how you gave the example of their poster, already an unreliable reference (for some reason categorized in facts, which would be incorrect) . You stated that her expression was more towards uneasy and off-guard, rather than, perhaps, hateful, are angry, which are more elaborate words that Off-guard, which can mean many things. In addition, the poster is an advertisement to one of their shows, so the poster could be acting, making it not exactly a fact, but a likely theory. The dialogues are a more intriguing part of their dynamic, and I pondered what you said about Vee processing emotions. While this could be true, but if you take a closer look into her dialogue, she show affection to many of her friends, and in my opinion, her likely girlfriend, Brightney. I also was surprised on how you described Vee trying to impress Shelly. This is possible, consider she appears to be slightly socially awkward in one conversation with Brightney. She seems to soften up to the toons she knows more about, enhancing the conversations of her friends, instead of toons she's unfamiliar with (shelly?) I know that you said she could be using it as an opportunity to hang out with Shelly, but as seen in the Dialogue with Brightney, she askes polity (sorry for bias.) The photo part is very much made of inferences, as you stated from the way they look, which could be a hint at Shellvision, but the statement itself is an inference, and according to the caption, they are settling in, so they possibly aren't acknowledging each other, for they aren't looking at each other. Wanting the best for someone is different than someone wanting to hang out, nonetheless start a relationship with them. This is not a hate comment, I personally think ShellVision is cute, I'm pointing out what you'd want to change if you were to make this an official document, educational video, or school assignment. My analysis shows the amount of inferences (bias), lack of actual in-game facts, approved facts (confirmed by a dev), and lastly, misplaced information (organization.) Other than that, this is a great video, it really explained what goes through a ShellVision shippers mind when talking about it, and it shows that you took a long time! If I were to re-write this, it would be less inference focused and more on confirmed facts, but you did a stellar job anyway! Bravo! (Sorry if this was long, I wanted to show the difference between bias, truth, and inference. Have a good day

My final thoughts: honestly i think cleanshell (shelly x tisha) is a much better ship because vee is using shelly and tisha notices and is a true friend to shelly. Also for Vee I think Nightvision (Vee x Astro) (sorry to any moonflower fans unless you multiship) is a much better ship then ShellVision. The reason I like Nightvision so much is because Vee says something in the elevator like "If anyone gives you issues then come to me" and astro says something like "Oh thanks Vee but don't worry about me" which i find wholesome. Vee also has suspicions of dandy in the lore and is worried about astro because dandy and astro have been childhood friends but dandy might back stab astro so that's why vee says that in the ele. And in the second interaction astro says. Astro says "Vee is your Microphone wire tangled?" Then vee says "You need to worry about yourself more than other people" then astro says "well is it tangled?" then vee responds with ". . ." then astro says "i'll give it a look after we finish here" then vee responds with "ok thanks astro". It's like a situation where they both are looking out for each other to make sure there ok. Anyways I hope this helps the shipping situation.

Personally for me to ship Shellvision, both Vee and Shelly would have to go thru some development. Example: Vee would have to start understanding emotions, since she is a robot and can’t really comprehend them. That is the same opinion I have for another ship, Moonflower. I feel like for me to ship Moonflower is that either the Ichor Operation never happened or Dandy and Astro would have to go through a big big saga like friends to enemies to working together to neutral to friends to lovers.

The reason why I don't like shellvision is because it's said by qwel that Vee hates Shelly secretly and honestly is just manipulating her for things, and since Shelly isn't all that bright for an endangered species (it's confirmed all her other familly members and others went extinct), Which is why Tisha hates her so much, because Vee manipulates people to do her work (kind of) which is why Vee gets mad at scraps for winning everytime and also why she manipulated poppy into thinking she'll get a car

I think this ship is kinda toxic because vee mostly either doesn’t care about shelly or finds her annoying, if this ship was canon, it would be like one person trying to talk to their partner but their partner always seems annoyed or just straight up ignores her, vee isn’t a bad person, its just that she would just keep on ignoring shelly like the rest, and it is further proven in the voiceline where shelly tries to tell vee about her dinosaur facts but in response, vee instantly states that she knows them all and doesn’t try to listen to her. This is just MY OPINION so yeeeee

I’ll attempt to make this as cohesive as possible making it expressive my opinion and points in the best way I can (while also playing notoriety but ignore that) while also not being the average Twitter user by spewing hate. 0:40 While I don’t believe that Vee is overly aggressive towards Shelly, it isn’t a positive reaction or neutral reaction. If she were to be “off-guard” is if she would be surprised/shocked, and that expression would be more wided eyed with a more open mouth. Ex. 😮. However we do not see that, instead Vee’s eyes are half open (or half closed, literally same difference) with a frown for lack of a better term. The posters intent seems to be showing a difference between the personalities of Shelly and Vee, for which is most likely correct since again this is a cancelled cartoon show and showing two foils is a type of episode that is not that unheard of. Furthermore, it can teach the past and present (well present at the time of the episode) towards children. 1:07 You see this is consistent and inconsistent at the same time. The problem is that this statement works with Vee for a lot of dialogue, but also it is shown that she deeply cares about Astro and she has a sense of sass which contradicts the inability of understanding emotions since sass requires a more complex understanding of emotions (it is under the umbrella of satire for a reason) To the point of the dialogue itself, it’s more of showing of Shelly’s struggle than Vee’s characteristics. Again people know about the feeling of Shelly being forgotten (even though that makes no sense at all but that’s besides the point) since Shelly wants to express her love and passion towards someone who is disinterested since they already have knowledge about the subject which causes her to be disappointed. That is the main reason for the dialogue itself. For the second dialogue it’s clear that Shelly believes that Vee wants to hang out with her in a sort of bonding (most likely platonic since again, forgotten toon theme) but instead she is used more as a “tool” instead. Now people can see this as Vee being outwardly toxic towards her and though technically it is a type of toxicity, that being not respecting bonding time with others and cherishing them for existing and being with you, it is not the toxicity of hatred or anything of the sorts. 1:43 This point needs to be taken with a grain of salt because it is made by a group of people without the creator there being as a guide or anything, and also the inconsistency of Vee’s characteristics are also left out from the wiki as well. So to go over it again in a more concise way, the poster shows Vee at most being annoying at Shelly with the minimum reaction being unenthusiastic towards it. The dialogue’s shows Vee have more of a lack of understanding of emotions despite other dialogue proving otherwise, that being with mainly Astro’s , and the dialogue mainly being about Shelly’s feelings of being tossed aside instead of any other “hints”. And the wiki being right but also leaving out some other information as well making it not the most reliable source. Now what is my opinion of the ship? Personally, not a huge fan of it as from the stated reasons before. This is also my line of reasoning for me not enjoying moonflower as well, that’s for another day I suppose. However, I will not give hate for people that like it because that’s stupid because I literally have better things to do than raging at what is most likely a teenager wanting to make a cute ship with much less media literacy than I do, no this is not me saying that I am smarter, this is me just saying that I took an AP English course that’s it. Also keep up with the video, though this is controversial just the fact that you could make a video shows that you can finish things through. Though I do recommend making the text not the same color as the background, honestly maybe a black text with a green highlight would have worked since it relates to the video (Vee) and is probably easier to read. But nonetheless keep up the work, you’ll get better with practice.
