That looks like an outstanding piece of equipment. An excellent truck with pumping capability. The ladder looks like a 100 footer. I like the color scheme too. Most ladder trucks down here have only 3 firefighters and the Engines only have 2 but the Rescue squad has 4 and there all paramedics and firefighters

The ladder has the markings on the tip of ladder showing 107. That's as I believe is the working length of this ladder. That's the normal place that the ladder length is placed on the majority of these kinds of ladders

Yes, normal for Pompano Beach. Staffing on that rig is a Captain, a Driver Engineer and 1 Firefighter.

The solid red paint scheme is more traditional but I prefer white over red. The ladder overhang beyond the cab seems impractical just to gain some extra footage (107 ft. total). Dark painted aerial? Bad for night operations. SEAGRAVE makes a prettier rig. GO FDNY!! Last but not least, I hope your brother is doing well and safe travels to you.

Nice rig not a big fan of Pierce or E-One I love a good Seagrave or Ferrara, but that’s a quint not a bad looking color scheme
