A better title for this video is "The Relationship Between The Prophets and The Shari'ah" as he doesn't once mention his mother or her response to the Qur'an! Nevertheless, this is a very educational video which explains why the Shari'ah is important. I like the way that, despite his obvious intellect, he keeps it real! As a Muslim and student of history, I try not to use the word "Christ" when speaking of Isa bin Maryam, alayhi was salaam, because some historians refer to "Jesus" as the actual person who existed and "Christ" as who they made him out to be (but not necessarily was). Also, the proper word for those who memorize the Qur'an is "hafidh" not 'hafiz". That is just another example of the 'Z" walking of the people from the Indian subcontinent who say "Zuhr" instead of "Dhur", "Ramazan" instead of "Ramadhan", "siratul lazeena" instead of "siratul latheena", etc. This becomes very important because, some of the same people who mispronounce these words, irresponsibly produce literature with these errors - including transliterated Qur'ans - that cause people who can pronounce these words correctly not to do so without realizing they have been mistaught!

The maqasid are achieved as a result of implementing the Shari'ah as a whole. They are a result, not the reason (illah/goal) of Revelation. It means that by implementing the Shar' as it is it creates the circumstances that enable society to protect mankind. The study of maqasid was developed centuries after the Message of Islam. The Mission of the Prophet s.a.w. included the Shari'ah as it is, not the maqasid and how some amongst us want to take them as a basis so as to say: oh look these maqasid are general principles and guidelines, we can now deviate from the Shari'ah and Islamic standards and norms to make it compatible with secular capitalist democratic liberal kufr. Jzk for your consideration.

There is no way of knowing or confirming that the person who died on the cross was judas. We can not say in the same sentence that Jesus was judas . Nothing in Islam says that..and the fact that judas later committed suicide is also not mentioned at all in The Quran. Though it is believed to have happened by christisn copts in Egypt. What is believed by muslims is that Jesus was saved and raised by GOD to heaven and someone like him in features was the one crucified ..mistakenly the soldiers believed they were seeing Jesus .
