If/when you go back to Edinburgh, try to see the vaults underneath the city. It is a trippy experience, but I highly recommend it. They have both historic and ghost tours of them, and it's something it seems like less tourists tend to flock to, making it not very crowded.

I haven't read City of Ghosts, but I have read other Victoria Schwab books, and they're incredible. I would highly recommend her book Vicious. It's one of my most favorite books, with great characters, plot, and a style of writing that I haven't seen much.
