Another idea for looking back at progress or just for documentation in general; After your reading, before you clean your cup, take pictures of the cup and save it to a digital note taking app. That way you can look back at your notes and have some visual context for what you were talking about. Also, that way when you look back, you may notice things that you hadn't during your initial reading that suddenly makes sense or adds more context.

I have the feeling that if you took tasseomancy with a green witch/herbalist practice and chose teas/herbs/blends based off those correspondences you could find a lot of power in the meanings. Also, there's something just adorably wonderful about the outtakes and bloopers at the end that I appreciate.

One reason lots of people swirl with the non-dominant hand is in some cultures that is considered the "spirit hand". Since we have less control over it, it is easier for our intuition, ancestors, or spiritual guides to work through it. I've been studying magickal traditions in Bohemia and have seen this written multiple places.

This is something I'm really into as an avid loose leaf tea drinker and witch, but I've only done it a few times because I didn't have the right cup. I was waiting for it to come along naturally instead of seeking one out. In the meantime, I was using a heart shaped cup, the only white cup with a saucer that I had, and I only did a few readings for practice because it just didn't feel right. A few days ago I was shopping for candles and found the PERFECT cup! Black with a gold moon and constellations on it on the outside, and white on the inside with a crystal ball printed on it! Now I'm binge watching as many tasseomancy videos as I can and rereading what material I have on the topic. Yay!

Okay first of all that dress is gorgeous, and I love the cottagecore look for you! It's fun to switch it up, even if it feels a bit strange at first. I always find myself dressing more cottage-y in the spring and summer and a little darker and more dramatic in late fall and winter. As Walt Whitman would say... we are large and contain multitudes :) Second of all, thank you so much for this video!! I purchased a vintage tasseomancy cup on a whim months ago and have yet to use it. This was such a helpful starting-out guide - I actually had no idea about the final swirl and dump before reading, or turning the handle towards you for a plain mug. I can totally see how those nuances in the practice correlate with a more mindful and accurate reading. Thank you and hope you're having a great week!!

Hello Hearth, Thank you for this information about tea leaf reading. Many years ago I worked as a server in a British tea house in Ohio USA. I helped the owner serving high tea and did a tea leaf reading for the party (entertainment only). Like you, tea closer to the rim was closer in time and lower in the cup further in time. As I did a year reading the leaves in the bottom represented the overall theme of the year, and then I read the cup in quarters. Because I didn't know the women and was neutral the accuracy surprised me. For instance, I saw a book and was reading for the librarian (they were teachers at the same school). I also accurately read a vacation in the summer (it was pre-planned). Your video has inspired me to try tasseomancy again. Love the blouse!!

Excellent vid!! My paternal grandmother, who was born in 1920s Palestine, knew how to read tea leaves- I remember her doing it for her friends when I was little, and she started to teach me, but life events prevented any contact with her after I was about 10, and I remember nothing specific she said. But I like to think that maybe it's in my blood, so alllll these years later I'm going to give it a try!!✨

Something I will do the day before or within the week of tea leaf reading is read the symbol and dream interpretation books I use to interpret symbols (outside of stream of consciousness reading). It seems to give my brain a better palate or vocabulary to work from There are 2 books I highly recommend with huge sections on tea leaf reading: Psychic Sciences by Walter and Litzka Gibson and the Complete book of Fortune from Bracken Books. Both are old paperbacks I've found at charity shops but probably available on Amazon or Thriftbooks

Fabulous video as always! Excellent suggestions, and I love that you always leave room for people to adjust each practice to their own needs. Bravo! I know vlogs aren't really your thing, so no worries if this request doesn't work for you, but I would love like a "magical get ready with me" or a "daily magical practices" video from you. Only showing the parts of your craft that you feel comfortable sharing of course. 💜 Love your content, and your knowledge. Thank you for what you do for the magical community.

I need you to explain everything for the rest of my life to me the way you explained tea reading - because you made everything so crystal clear and so easy to understand and digest, it’s honestly a bit astounding ❤️👏🏽 also I am a psychic reader and I can see in your eyes that in a past life you have also had witch tendencies and would be able to hypnotise people very well - around the medieval times so far from what I can see which was rivered but also controversial. You were very good at your job

I've been afraid to watch this video because I totally go by intuition and basically read it by the shape as a whole and I'm afraid knowing another way will make my intuitive way feel invalid then I won't be able to do it anymore, but more knowledge is more power, and there was actually a few pointers I could add to my method. Thank you hearth! P.s. I love the nomad/fairy look on you! I live in a cargo trailer conversion and wow it's great but the build has been.... so much, especially since I'm living in my rig as I build which is low key a nightmare hahaha

A friend read the tea leaves for me about 35 years ago, but I couldn't tell how she got anything from them. Unfortunately she passed away many years ago I didn't understand it then, but I'm pretty sure now that she was a witch. I wish I would have understood back then, and I'm sure she would have mentored me. I'm sure that would have changed the course of my life for the better.

Thanks Heath for always keeping in mind the challenges of the differently abled. My hands are severely crippled from decades of Rheumatoid Arthritis, plus a stroke somewhat limited my previously dominant hand, so I can't always do what nearly everyone takes for granted. I'm not exactly sure where this leaves me as far as which is the preferred hand to use - the naturally dominant one or the functionally dominant one now. As always, I enjoyed the video, but I'm still pretty clueless as to how to begin to get anything out of the dregs in my cup. It would be really helpful if you showed cups with leaves and what your interpretations would be if you were reading for someone else. I'm sometimes a slow learner I guess. 😔

There is an other way of reading the standard mug. If future past doesn't really matter. An it's where the cup is a representation of you at the present. The bottom third of the cup is internal. The middle third of the cup is surface and top third is external. The further to the handle more important it is, the further less it is.

Hey Hearth! Hope you are well! I was wondering if I could pick your brain a little? I recently ran into a young woman at a book store in my local mall. I could tell she was a practioner, so I made small talk because I liked her style. She gave me her email address and said I could email her if I wanted. We have exchanged a couple of emails chatting about each of our paths. I am more of a love and light witch with a Christian background. She is Pagan and works alot with Hecate and shadow work. I'm not super familiar with that path. She offered to meet up for coffee and be friends, which is great and I'm open to that, but I am a little concerned that we may not agree/get along well. How do I navigate these new waters?!?!
