This is the closest to mood reading I think you’ve ever come and I loved it! People tackling their physical tbrs is one of my favourite concepts. You got so much done and had fun with it. Is there anything better?
@alliemonreale9 ай бұрын
I love this concept because you can pick up whatever books you’re in the mood for 💛 There’s no pressure to stick to a theme

I loved this video so much! Seeing you make progress in so many series, work down the number of unread books on your shelves, and actually enjoy so many books you read was so fun! I would love if you made more like this (not necessarily with 10 books because that’s a lot!)

Thanks for the recs and reviews. The Forgotten Women series looks good, so I picked up the four books, which fortunately I could find used. One of my 2024 reading goals is to read 24 Asian authors in 2024. Congrats on the progess!

I've gone to an event with T Kingfisher and she speaks the same way she writes, it's so interesting! I've only read her horror and really enjoy it

I'm exactly the same with Frances Hardinge books! For some reason I have owned her four most recent books for a good while, and only in the past month did I finally bite the bullet and read The Lie Tree. I loved it personally. I think her writing has a quality to it where it appeals to a massive age range. I know its target audience is younger teens, but as a adult, I had a thoroughly good time!

This is my goal this year too. Because I’m tired of my tbr being way too long (180), I can only buy book one book for every ten I read (although my most anticipated reads & book boxes are exempt from the challenge, lol)

You’ve done some solve the murder with me type videos with murder mysteries and I think I just found your next one. I haven’t read it yet so I dont know if it’s good but the concept is cool and I’m a sucker for a good concept. The book is called You’ve Been Summoned by Lindsey Lamar. It’s a murder mystery where you the reader are the detective and are given clues and interviews and other things to solve the crime.

I like this type of vlog. It feels like what I am trying to do with my own shelves. I have two book buying opportunities this month and it’s killing me. One is a local author event at my indie bookstore and the other is the library’s annual book sale. I’ve told myself that I can only buy as many books as what I read and unhauled up to that point. So far I have earned 5 books. Not enough for what I want to buy.

It is a good idea and keep in mind you don't have to stick to ten. You can so 5 read earns 1 purchase, or whatever ratio works best for you.

You do know Alice Oseman wrote some YA novels for the Heartstopper series?
@aylah.astrology9 ай бұрын
the thing with nghi vo books in this series is that they feel soooooo much better when reading then physically instead of audio, because you can pace yourself and read slower catching up with all the different threads that are being presented... I don't know but once I switched to physically and re-read the first this way and continued too, they became all 5✨️ for me

I think next time you do this video your reward should not be longer than the average page number of the books read. Otherwise you will just burn through your shortest books and will be left with the bricks for later
