When you convert the engine to burn oil, are you somehow planning on keeping the butterfly doors?

That's the hope, but if it will cause issues or just not possible then they will be stored, to keep in case.

My special needs son recommends instead of converting the engine back to oil 🛢 they should look into something called torrefied biomass.

@@nicholasuszkowell a ton of old Russian locomotives that are oil burners have butterfly doors so I’d say they will still be there
