Now you have to spend a weekend watching the entire Netflix series! It's one of the best adaptations I've seen. Of course they added filler content, and actually answered a few questions the books left out, it's just a really well done series. Congrats on finishing! I can't fathom doing a 24hr readathon where I DO sleep let alone with no sleep! That's impressive
@themadpiper68195 жыл бұрын
ALSO Daniel Handler helped with the script writing and made a few cameos in the series so filler content can totally be counted as canon.

I can't imagine that their a better adaption than the movie with jim carry..
@lauramichelle69764 жыл бұрын
@@UserName-fb2co Personally I did not like the Jim Carry movie, but what makes Netflix SO much better than that movie is the sheer fact that netflix adapted ALL 13 books, and held fairly close the source material. Where the movie adapted 3 books in one go, and peppered in easter eggs to other novels and editing how the story was told. If you enjoyed the books and the movie I recommend trying the show its really well done

Well done, Emma! Sorry that you didn’t get enough sleep, but you are a true legend! Now I feel like my dream to finally start this series is destined to come true, I’ve already checked my library and ordered the first two books. Feel truly excited! Thank you for this wonderful vlog, your videos always make me smile.

i have dyslexia and i never got to read alot of series because it would take so long get through one book, but i love watching these because its something i could physically not do. the 2 series i did read were (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel #1) by Michael Scott which is 6 books plus 2 spinoffs, and the Dealing with Dragons series by Patricia C. Wrede which is 4 books. i loved them so much and though you probably wont read them i wanted to share them with you because you got me reading and just enjoys the process of reading again. thank you

I grew up with the books as well, and read all of them at least twice by the end of junior high, but for some odd reason I could never (and still dont really) remember from The Grim Grotto onwards. Like I had a good memory up until The Carnivorous Carnival, where I started to remember only bits and pieces of it and the following book. It's so weird how I can't remember. I know what happens now because I've watched the netflix series, even though I'm aware that they changed a lot lol.

A truly great romance I've read was called " A Heart's Journey" by Beth Howard, found on Amazon.

I read the series a few years ago,the lack of answers really got to me and I didn’t end up enjoying them. So glad you did! I’m totally inspired to do a 24 hour Readathon, but I just don’t think I have the stamina... well done!

Some answers and details are in the Netflix series. There's also enough clues in there to piece it together. And one more book called "the Beatrice Letters"

God I love these books so much! It made me extremely suspicious of every adult I've ever met but it did expand my vocabulary too😂 I met him once and got my copy of "The Composer is Dead" signed. Ahh memories! Have you had a chance to look through The Beatrice Letters? Or Snicket's Autobiography? Extremely fascinating and provide so much more info on Snicket himself as a character and the world he's created.
