I first started watching your videos when I was living by myself in another country, and they brought me so much comfort on hard days when I didn't have any books around to read. As another depressed bi girl who is close to her sisters, and reads too many thrillers, the parasocial connection was fun. My favorite thing was when you just vlogged about normal stuff without motivating or advising or pretending everything book, sip of tea, or walk was *perfect*. I'm happy that authenticity was what shone through, and what's guiding you to give this up. I'm of the opinion that quitting stuff that doesn't improve your life is a very underrated life move. & ALSO if you can enjoy your life without sharing it online, you shouldn't

Emma - all I really have to say is thank you. Your videos have bought me so much joy over the years, particularly during lockdown. I was in a real reading slump at the time and your channel completely pulled me out of it. I’ve had an absolute ball virtually drinking, reading and laughing along with you. I cant believe i only just found you and youre leaving!! Whats even crazier is that I had something very similar happen to me recently - back in March I had a thoracic aneurysm and the blood built up in my chest till my lung nearly collapsed. I was in the ICU for 6 days. I ended up with a chest tube and 6 pints of donated blood. I was so grateful for the doctors and nurses who cared for me there. I am so glad you are okay. Rest up and enjoy life!

This is the first video of yours I found, and i just want to say good for you for recognizing the value of privacy. I don't make videos, but I love following people like you on you tube. I feel like you all are my imaginary friends and I suspect you all see me as your imaginary friend. These videos are so much more authentic than full production unreal tv series like big brother and all the rest. But there is great risk in using public facing youtube as a diary or an imaginary friends. Particularly trolls and other off balanced people who dont recognize boundaries. Making videos also take A LOT of work. Surfers like me may not recognize it, but its definitely more than the 10-60 minutes length of the video. I hope you enjoy your time off youtube and are able to take back your private life. We'd love to see you again if you ever decide to pop back in to drop a new video, but if not, I'm sure we will all survive. Take care of yourself. God bless you and keep you.
