A.J Thanks a lot. whenever I watch your videos. They motivate me a lot, They give me desire to learn English in a fun and exciting way, not like the tress things in my life, they just put stressful on me, and make me lost all the time. sometimes it is that I fail to work effectively or just like today this morning I don not know what to do with a heavy head, just wasting my time with stupid news. And as usual it steals a lot of time from me while I'm sort of it( my work load at school is heavy), something happens I get up,continue to catch up what I just lost and fail again... just like a stupid circle, I know no way out. it's a frustrated thing, I'm having putting up with. in this case what do you suggest ? I am very appreciated your time, help me grow my dire of learning and skills to solve problem. Thanks again.

Thanks a lot for your work, I really apreciate it. I read in english since 1 year more or less. I became doing it because I wanted to read the books that I like in the language which they were written. The first book that I finished was "Animal Farm", 1 year ago from now. At the begining it was so hard, but when I was completly into the story, I forgot that it was in english, and I really began to enjoy it. The pleasure that I felt when I finished it was one of the things that make me more proud of myself. Now I want to practice my writting, but I don´t know a good method to do it, I really aprreciate if you give me some keys to do it or some web pages where I could do it. I will continue hearing your lessons and enjoing your videos.

by the way, I do teach ESL to Koreans (beginner and intermediate) personally, I wanna learn more about toefl, and when I tried to study about it I found out that my knowledge is really not enough, I could get the pattern or way of answering the questions, but I found my self kinda lack of knowledge about the topics that they used before showing the questions. can you suggest any site books, that are good to be read in order for me to improve when it comes to TOEFL topics, in our small town I can't find any book store, so I have been looking for online stuff instead.

Happytana, Have you checked out the reference material listed at the end of this site? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test_of_English_as_a_Foreign_Language There might be some that will help you with what is expected. I think as far as studying for the TOEFL test you would need to work on improving your English in general by reading, writing, listening and speaking as these are the four categories the test is based on. Also, have you checked out their site for the practice testing? www.toeflgoanywhere.org/

As for talking about writing, I can strongly suggest you to read one of Jack London's stories, which is called "Martin Eden" - as I think, the best example which shows us how an ordinary man can succeed in mastering the world culture.

From Brazil From Marccio Good Evening, Master!!!! It's Always a big pleasure to be with your company. Thanks for being my professor. I have been learning a lot. I started watching your vídeos about one year and half, and your methods I can tell you it really works. All of my life I studied English by using Grammar books and I develop some abilities in writing Englsih. But of course, I want more than this. Writing, I know, it is not enough. We all know that we must improve the four abilities. The big problem with books is they don't produce sounds and sometimes they are boring as you told us before. And I must confess I enjoy studying Grammar, that's because my Mother taught Portuguese for almost 20 years. Now I must go... much success for ya... could you please send me a message to me? I'd be very happy. Big hug, friend.

Hello sir A.J Hoge , i want to ask you something about reading and writing. You advise us to write or read something we enjoy or be interested in it. But, how do we move to the next level to start something more complicated, such as reading the newspaper or scientific papers and writing a scientific essay? Thankyou very much. :D

I am sure not make a mistake suggesting you just to read what you really like. You should understand most of the things you are reading. If for eg. you have under your eyes a fiction book should be for fun, a non-fiction book for growth, but in any case the language learning part is a "side effect" :) Ok, this is my opinion. Theresa Snyder can help you more. Bye bye.
