College Is For Children

College is for children because it prolongs childhood. American universities have a huge party culture. Students drink alcohol, do drugs, and "party" constantly. While this may seem fun, the party culture delays adulthood. In college, students avoid responsibility and remain passive. They wait to be told what to read and what to learn. By the time they graduate at age 22 , they are still passive children. Even at this age, many struggle to make their own decisions. just wow . I wish I could give this video 1 billion likes . Unfortunately, I reached this fact last year when I got 24 years old but fortunately I figured it out.No one taught me this life gold fact.I was confused and disappointed and frustrated most of the time what I am doing in future. I discovered it by myself at age of 24. Exactly as you said a big waste of time.(By the way, I passed all these nonsense college years in Iran).Only because nobody told me.Millions of teens are wasting their time and living in mind darkness. How fantastic would it be if there had been a purposeful and effective way of growing up our children .

you are right many people successful in business even they have never been to college. being in college doesn't mean waiting for graduation to start career, many students start their career while studying in college and they gain ealry experience at young age.

Thanks A.J. for this great explanation. I'm following your method and it is more useful to me. But this video is one of the most marvelous videos I've never listened because you express your idea only like an american (or maybe a self-made man english) can do it. I read so much british and american writers like Samuel Smiles or Orison Sweet Marden because I'm a self-made man too. I'm catalan (Barcelona 1964) and I've learnt over all about experience. Accept failures is the basic premise to success. Is accepting reality. Thanks A.J.

Can't agree with you more. It's pathetic In my country, when students graduated from Senior High School, most of them have to go to College for Bachelor's degree. Because almost everyone does, in that case, a person who has no idea what he or she really wants to do in life ,he or she might go to College, but maybe they are not willing to. They have no choice but go to College, eventually wasted their four years of life.

HI AJ I'm Son from Vietnam, I've followed your videos for months. I've just watched to improve my listening skill. I noticed this video is very "revolutionary". That makes me think about. Totally different from what I have known before about American college. But the problem is that is unacceptable for those who need the certifications, not much people like Bill Gates, right?
