A Fate Inked In Blood is AMAZING. I'm not sure why more people aren't talking about it to be honest. It was a 5 star romantasy read for me. LOTS of tension, some spice, and the twist at the end was really good. I'm so excited for the sequel to come out! It's probably my most anticipated read of 2025 ♥

I feel sooo similarly to you on The Ministry of Time, and I was so shocked to read so many conflicting reviews! I enjoyed the language so much, and even learned new words, haha! The unique way of telling history, but also an observation of our current time - through the eyes of the past, was just marvelous. I enjoyed the characters, and loved the relationship/romance between the two main characters. I too could relate to her (and your) perspective - my dad was born in Indonesia, and my mom New York! It’s a perspective I don’t get to read about very often and I found it so relatable.

I have a recommendation for something that has some of the elements you loved and related to in the Ministry of Time. The Glass Gate by Hanna Sandvig is a modern retelling of Cinderella that has Fae (but is super clean, no spice!) and it’s Cinderella is half Japanese half Canadian! It’s a cozy romance with high stakes and is a part of a really cool series that retells fairytales, but with Fae and in the modern world!
