I enjoy a little spice in romance books if the characters have good chemistry and it's done well. But the way so many people love books ONLY for the spice has ruined a lot of romance books

Popular books you'll usually be able to Google to find out if they have those types of scenes in them. It gets harder to find for more obscure books, though.

Same!! I just always search on google if such and such book has any spice scenes. That typically says if it does, also seeing what the recommended age is for the book and seeing some non-spoiler comments that are from others possibly your age.

i totally feel you on the those scenes. and unfortunately for me, the newer books that are clean are usually for high schoolers nd i don't resonate much with as a 23 year old.. many booktok books have been left half read by me because of how much of the book is just graphic scenes of that nature it has and how without it, the story has little to offer.. and now if some book is going viral its almost 95% sure to have such scenes... good clean/ closed door romance books with characters that have more than one dimension are few and far in between..

I recommend Kasie West, she writes clean ya romcoms that are very just vibes, my favorite of hers being Sunkissed, takes place at a summer camp very fun and lighthearted yet still has (somewhat of) a plot, thats how most of her books are, just fun super fast and you'll fly through them, her styal also reminds me of Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter, i havent seen you review any of her books so i wanted to recomend her if that interested you 😊

I'm not sure if you've read this series - but just in case - I highly recommend The Raven Cycle. It's the perfect blend of fantasy, friendship, romance, and super suspenseful and satisfyingly complex plot. The 4 books are edited so well together and everything flows

I completely agree on The Rom-commers! I got it from Netgalley and i loved it! so easy to get into, theres unlikable traits on the characters but you never entirely dislike them, the real life problems are well written so good!!

Well, by watching your videos (I subscribed a few months ago) I got him Red Rising from your suggestion and he loved the first book! HALEY. There's this book that you HAVE to read. It's called spells for lost things, by the same author who wrote love & gelato- it's the coziest, cutest little magical vibe and the romance is sooo well done. It's so easy to annotate too, like I underline things almost every chapter. It has a really good plot along with the cozy romance and I seriously think you'd love it

I’m 21 and don’t like reading books that are not “clean” I like the plots, character buildup, and language of a book and find scenes like that so unnecessary in fact I feel like those types of scenes can push women to be more hasty in their relationships which could definitely be a regret

haley!!! because you love women's fiction with a romance, you should 100% read the collected regrets of clover by mikki brammer! i rated it a three stars but i was getting into a mini slump at the time, it was still a really good book! i've seen other book influencers rate it a five star, too, and it is definitely a book i think you'd love!!
