Hello Aunt Bev! I struggle with ADHD but was able to keep up with the entirety of the poem throughout the video. I believe the way you take the time to annunciate each word helps me fully process exactly what is being said. I felt poem felt very strongly, especially towards the end when you hear the author struggle with their feelings of "should I hide, should I leave, I want to cry..' then coming back around to say "I will stand strong & tall, not to buckle or fall.." I felt so sad for the author at first, but then a nice feeling towards the ending knowing they knew their place of happiness and being. Thank you for reading, loved this poem!!

This moved me and caused me to compare this to every inner city in America.

This caused me to remember living in Oakland California in the 80's when crack was just everywhere. How many poor souls we lost to this evil perpetrated on the inner city black/POC community. I remember the fallout all around us all in our community. I also felt incredibly proud of the aunties and Mama's who carried their families thru this epidemic.

Hi Auntie Bev. This made me feel sad and pretty much helpless. I’d like to hear your explanation. Maybe on a separate video.
