To add onto the coma theories, There’s one report of a man on reddit who got into a car crash and lived the next 10 years of his life in a unconscious dream. When he woke up it was just a few minutes after the crash. During the dream he met a girl, married her, had kids, and had a stable job just to suddenly wake up 10 years in the past. He committed suicide 3 years later unable to bear the fact that 10 years of his life was fabricated within just minutes from his brain. So it is possible to live your life within a coma.
