shatter me is my favourite series ever!!! but you have to keep going with the whole series for it to be amazing, and I recommend reading the novellas in between too, it really adds to the reading experience. the romance is INCREDIBLE and there's aaron warner ofc, who you've definitely heard off!! however, it's not fantasy, it is often miscategorised but this series is in the dystopian genre! loved this video ❤️

Ali, you are NEVER a "failure" for pausing the timer in a 24 hr read-a-thon, as this clearly stated as being permitted in each challenge! Never any pressure to stay awake for the entire 24 hours, and if you do it's simply a little bonus. As a former shift worker, I know all too well how this can affect a person. I've never read a fantasy book in my life, but have certainly enjoyed viewing and listening to your enthusiasm! I would love to give it a try. The ACOTAR series sounded particularly interesting based on the enthusiasm- would you recommend ACOTAR to a person who has NEVER read a fantasy book? If not, any recommendations on a book to try as a first read would be appreciated! This goes for ANYONE reading this comment, I would love to know! 😊

Yes, ACOTAR is a great beginner series for anyone who is new to the fantasy genre! It’s really easy to understand the world-building and plot, and there’s a lot of romance which keeps things interesting in other ways too. It was the first fantasy book/series I’ve ever read (besides twilight from when I was much younger lol) and now fantasy is my favourite genre!

acotar was my 2nd fantasy series so all the different names of characters, places and objects were a bit difficult for me to remember so i recommend writing down the names and rules of the fantasy world on a piece of paper so you can look back and remember it if you do ever forget who is who and what role they play! p.s. i LOVED the series tho!

I think you would like the Caraval series! It's not for everyone but based off your other reviews I think you may enjoy it. There's some romance in every book and a ton of fun magic and games. I also don't think it's too hard to understand if you don't read a lot of fantasy.

If you want to continue with the fantasy genre I completely recommend the series Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber. By far my favorite books of all time, there’s a magical/whimsical world, great characters and plot, and romance!!

You should definitely read once upon a broken heart and the ballad of never after (the last book will be released in october)!! its a spin off from the caraval series which is recommended to be read first (i didnt lol) but i LOVED ouabh and tbona!!! the romance is just chefs kiss

I think you'll love The Never Tilting World by Rin Chupeco!! It's a duology and it follows TWO couples with very cute and romantically tense scenes and it made me cry! Also the fantasy world is soooo cool!!

An Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir is amazing. It’s YA fantasy but reads like it’s meant for older audiences. It’s so good and I think you would enjoy it immensely 📚💕

Okay I love cruel prince maybe not the first book but the second book was the best. I really hope you read shatter me though I didn’t really like the first book. I started liking it in the 2nd book and then third book was awesome. Unpopular opinion though: 4th and 5th are my favorites of the series. Everyone is obsessed with the third book. I love it but for some reason I wasn’t obsessed like everyone else.

LOVED THIS!!! Also currently finishing cruel prince and had the same thoughts. 🌸🌷 BUT YOU NEEEEEED TO READ THE PRISON HEALER SERIES. I am literally spaming everyone to read it. The series gets so good with lots of twist and turns, riddles and adventure. Almost like the Inheritance Games, Shadow & Bone and Lord of the Rings had a baby. Every books is very different, but I loved them all and I got such good connections with the characters (which is very important to me). READ IT PLEASE!

Okay So Ali Di , I read on an average of 15 page an hour if the writing style is a bit complicating and not fast pace. But if it is, then I read 25 pages in an hour approx. I am way slower than you. But for me how fast or slow you read doesn't matter much but more what is important is that you are reading books and investing your time in productive ways. And also, I have ordered the first book of "The Last Hour" series called "Chain of Gold" . I hope it's a good book. Actually Ordered it after seeing the much you like Cassandra Clare's book! Okay take love :)
