This. I completely agree, Sound was out of line and immature in saying "oh you said a slur when you were hacked (even though you can provide proof) you are still banned." That isn't good business practice at all, deters people that want to maintain a genuine time on his server, and honestly that part of the video left distaste in my mouth and seemingly many others. If he can provide proof of a hack, why rule over it with an iron fist and say it doesn't matter; that sounds lazy and not wanting to get further into the situation, something a Discord server owner is responsible for doing when issues over THEIR server arise. This person had to wait TWO months while holding this hacking proof and preparing an appeal for it to be shut down instantly because the hacker decided to say the n-word on Sound's server? That's insensitive and apathetic towards those that are under something not in their control. Sound seems like a nice person at heart, but clearly he is still a naive child that needs to learn compromise. Placing the responsibility on the person that was hacked is dodging the problem, whereas working with them to figure out what exactly happened and coming up with a solution is the strongest way to give a community support and confidence in it's figurehead and administration.

Dear Mr. Sound, I would like to address this matter seriously. I am really shocked of your standards on deciding to unban someone or not. I watched through the whole video and seems your reasoning is even more worse than them, except those who are certaining making excuses, lying or something. Saying sorry SHOULD NOT be a way for them to be unbanned. Your job is to make decisions fairly according to evidences, not just deciding like a dictator. According to your logic, keeping their account safe from hackers or their little brother is their responsibility. Then it means a taiwanese woman who is being murdered by a hongkonger man, also his boyfriend, for having "another boyfriend" is not the murderer's fault, and is the woman's fault. The person who caused the anti-extradition protest is not the murderer, it is the woman who is being murdered. then what is rule of law for. I mean if someone proves he is being forced or something he will be freed, but man if I murder someone and I just say "sorry", I am going to get freed? If I get freed everyone can just say "sorry" and they will get no punishments. Also don't think hackers are so weak. They have system to randomly generate passwords and use a bot to test them one by one. Discord sometimes also have problems. Users sometimes will also set a password that they do not notice or think it is weak. Kids also sometimes can spy on the password of his elder brother or his dad and login. Kids can steal the password from other ways like searching saved passwords on firefox or chrome. All these cannot be stopped during the case happened. And they do not deserve a chance, instead those who only say I am sorry can be unbanned??? Banning and unbanning in a short time is not a punishment. You know some people used 15 or 20 minutes to type an article or paragraph to explain what happened, but you unban the one who just used 1 minute or even less, with the only content "I am sorry"? With all due respect, but are you somehow crazy? I certainly like your videos, but your way on appeals are just getting unacceptable. If this continues someone will be banned for being hacked (despite it is not his fault, it is the hacker's and discord's fault), or someone say he is from Nigeria and he got banned. Fix your bad banning system, change your mindset on blocking people or not, do things properly according to evidences. Or I will kindly ask you to let other mods to review the ban appeals since you don't know when to unban. If your account is hacked, and the hacker did something which violated the rules in my server, and you told me that you got hacked with evidences, I will free you IMMEDIATELY as long as you have your account back. The maximum penalty should only be muted or jailed for short time, nothing else. The second chance should not be given in the unban request, the second chance should be given in the server. although I understand what you mean, you still have to know that saying a bad word and murdering someone are two different things. I agree that spending time on your application is very important, but no one said it has to be long, as long as they present their reason for wanting to be unbanned that's all there is to it. If the rules clearly state that saying the n-word can get you banned, it's the person's that said it fault. Now reasons for unbanning, you say it's flawed, but the most important thing in an application is to repent for their acts if they did do something wrong. As long as they're serious about not doing it again, they deserve an unban. Excuses about your account getting hacked are similar. If they got hacked that might not really be their fault, but it can happen again and again if it happened once. Sound doesn't want to have people that might get hacked in the server, because even though it's not their fault, Sound is just thinking about the server. Although I understand that sometimes he does make wrong decisions about it, but it's still with a good intention of keeping the server healthy and I respect that.
