I know this may seem personal, but during my sophomore year of high school, it was difficult for me to learn, because I’ve had social anxiety, and it prevented me from passing my sophomore year, because I literally gave up and stopped going to school... Junior year, I came back strong to get my grind back on to achieve a better image for myself(getting good grades/completing failed classes.. and YES I did what I could😃).. I planned to make up for the classes that I was suppose to take this junior year during summer school this year, but then Corona got in the way... and I’m really at a dead end right now. This year is my senior year of high school and I’ve made up a 0.0625 gpa(Sophomore) to a 1.9 gpa(Junior). I really pray to graduate this year, because I just found a passion that I want to invest in and pursue(Dentistry), But I’m afraid my image is already ruined😢.. High school courses are online now, do you have any advice?

Hi! I know it may seem like the end of the world right now but you have time to turn it around! This doesn’t mean to wait around though! Working on yourself and social anxiety should be the priority as it sets a better foundation to be able to achieve greater things so i would definitely recommend to keep working on that as well as school. It is okay if you do not get into the best college but showing that you can do well in high school with the time you have will be really important as dental schools would love to see you attending into a 4 year institution for college!

Nice personal statement! I noticed that when you were reading through, you referred to them as paragraphs. When we submit on aadsas, does it allow our statement to be in paragraphs or is it crumbled together?

From what I remember it might have crumpled it together and then I went ahead and put in the paragraphs

Quick question: How do you TITLE a personal statement? Should I just put my name and credentials?

Hi, I just took a look at my application on the AADSAS application and there is actually no title on there! If I remember correctly, you just copy and paste your personal statement into the portion on your AADSAS application! :)
