There are many things that make the RandN unique and superlative among tourist rail lines - perhaps most important of which is speed. The RandN runs its excursions at track speed, just like the Reading did before it. It gives one a far better and thrilling experience than the slow, pokey pace of lines like Strassburg which, while well-meaning, do not have the same level of steam-powered excitement (anymore, though Strassburg did in the 80s and 90s). Second is your ability, as a passenger, to stick your head out and hear the furious sounds of a steam locomotive at work. You can get cinders in your eyes and smoke in your lungs, and love every minute of it. As a man who fondly recalls being a boy leaning out to glimpse 2102 pounding around a curve, it cannot be over-rated. Long live the RandN, Andrew Muller, 425, and soon, my beloved 2102.

Now 425 will be no less than 20 miles from me. I love all the cars following 425 in Nesquehoningand at 10:24 what kind of low budget ford explorer police car is that

It’s an unmarked 2005 Ford Explorer it’s not low budget either it’s actually to be more sneaky for the police

Beautiful scenery and beautiful editing. Pennsylvania really is my second home. However I do have a lingering fear that the Genesee and Wyoming will eventually show the RBMN management a check with enough zeros on it that saying "No" would be impossible and the orange cancer will creep into this part of PA, rendering all of this nothing but a memory. I hope I'm wrong....I really do.

Here's hoping the RBMN is around for many more years to come!

@@indie1361 2100 is in the Midwest Railway Preservation Society at Cleveland, Ohio getting restored too, but when exactly are both 2100 and 2102 going to be done?
@readingrailroadfan76833 жыл бұрын
2102 hopefully will be out later this year I think RBMN is keeping low on the news to not draw a crowd around her.
