Great video! Neat to see that the R&N has a pair of wigwags!

Thank you, yup I've been wanting to get a regular freight here for a while now but not while I'm doing work. I was able to get the crossing in action this time because I was on my way back to the parking area then got stopped by the train.

Awesome video. Love seeing that these are still around😊😊

Thank you @phoenixjnyc well yup just a a few yers ago these were out in Wisonsin but Andy was able to buy them and have the signal dept restore them and install them here, I really enjoy working for him and the R&N as the way he does things like this, sort of feels magical / historically correct, also everyone on the RR is just super awesome!

Wow fantastic catch, our last wigwag signals (In Wisconsin) were removed two years ago! (Dave).

@@StormySkyRailProductions I’m pretty that sure that my railroad/CEO got these Wigwags from Wisconsin, so these might have been those last ones. The signal dept did the restoration of them, to make them work as best as originally intended.

@@LibertyRailfan they might be from WI. but I know the fellow who got them! At least one went to the C&NWHS archives building at IRM in Il. (Dave).

Interesting catch. I hope to come up to Pittson sometime and see a train pass these old wigwags. I've always wanted to see some old wigwags in action and this seems like the perfect spot since Andy Muller tries to keep his railroad as vintage as possible. Hopefully he puts wigwags in Port Clinton sometime especially to see either 425 or 2102 passing by some wigwags just like how they did back in the steam era. Thanks for sharing this interesting tape and happy railfanning.

Well a few months ago 2102 did have to wye here at Pittston so it did pass by the Wigwags.. I don't think he can really put wig wags in Port Clinton unless he decides to make a private crossing just north of HQ. I don't think he can put vintage crossing equipment on an actual crossing such as Broad street in PC everything needs to modernized / approved by Penn DOT/FRA for actual road crossings. On private property that's a different thing that's how was able to get the Wigwags in Pittston.
@ns4270railfanАй бұрын
@@LibertyRailfan Ah, okay. It's always Penn DOT or the FRA that keeps everything modern, but it's understanding because these days these modern people might not know what a swinging wigwag railroad crossing means, but back when wigwags were common, it meant that a train was coming and stop for the crossing while it was swinging. Oh well, it would be cool if wigwags can be at Port Clinton, but now I kind of understand why that at a public crossing, the equipment needs to be up to code, but I like a lot of things to be vintage. They just don't make things like they used to and it's heartbreaking that a lot of people like the newer stuff and not the old stuff. Thanks for sharing this info.

Nice and glad to see that there are still some wig wag signals still in operation outside of a museum! Hope you and your family had a good thanksgiving :)

Thank you for watching Nate greetings from Pittston Pennsylvania, well just around 3 years ago these wigwags were still in Wisonsin, but Andy Muller the CEO of the R&N just had to buy them, restore them, and place them back into service. Same here hope you and your family had a good thanksgiving.. 🦃

@ you’re welcome Adam. I remember seeing a set (probably the same ones) that Wisconsin and Southern railroad had which were also in service. Glad to see a railroad wanting some historic xing signals instead of the traditional xing signals. Does that mean there would be a chance a way of semaphores will show up somewhere on the system? ;)
@LibertyRailfanАй бұрын
@@NBVideosPresents with the CEO "Andy Muller Jr" of my railroad that I work for "RBMNRR" if he can find a place for it and can buy ones for sale I think he probably would. It would be fantastic I know he is trying to get a historic RDG "Reading RR" signal bridge with authentic Reading signals installed at a brand new station along the system that just opened.. Maybe semaphores on that bridge ???
@TrainsAreReallyCool27 күн бұрын
@@LibertyRailfan Maybe he could buy a handful of the ones out West. Is the Signal Bridge from Pottsville? I thought there was one there. I personally would like to see some US&S color lights get installed, as they are my favorite type of classic signal.

We’re those wigwags relocated from elsewhere?

All I know is that they were from the state of Wisconsin from what I heard.
