Types of questions 1.type 1:elimination If there are 2 opposites in the answer options it means one of them is right Also pay attention to absolute. 2.Type 2: If the question is based on DETAIL pay attention to the developing sentence 3.Type 3 GIST type of question focus on topic sentence 4.Type 4 synonymous based question ,focus on keyword/phrase 5.Type 5 contrast word-based question,focus on what is said after the contrast word e.g but...,however.. 6.Type 6 Paraphrased based questions 7 skills To Select Correct Answer 1.eliminate the ABSOLUTE 2.Eliminate the WRONG ONES 3.Look for Precise Language i.e more professionals or scientific answer. 4.Straight opposites- one of the is coorect 5.Radical answers =incorrect 6.Educated guess=logic+elimination+compare with qts 7.Random guess=prefixed answer. STRAIGHT OPPOSITES -Identify two answer options which are opposites. -eliminate the rest of answer options and remain with the 2 opposite answers -look for synonymous words between the 2 options -If the are numbefs ,you also have ti focus on them in order to help you eliminate wrong answer option -contrast words in the text can also help you to eliminate wrong options -absolute are automatically eliminated when other options are opposites e.g never -also you can use topic sentence to her to the answer,because it will be highlighting what the paragraph is about.

Reading part B and C : My learning experience: Check for answer by different stretigies Elimination method If there are two opposites,eliminate the other options either one or two Examples: Q Which of the following is not mentioned in text A Some syringes can contain a mixture of two different medication C Two syringes of same type cannot have different medications Both of these options are straight opposites to each other so we will eliminate the third option Now check the text Check for number to directly launch into the answer Text: If two (use of number) or more syringes of the same type but (contrast word) containing different solutions or medications are being used ,they must be clearly labelled to prevent confision So option C is the right Ans B needles must never (absolute)be broken after administrating medication (but we have already eliminated because 2 other options are straight opposite to each other ) Here we used multiple stretagies Elimination is the method Use of contrast word "but" Use of number (help to launch into the answer) Reading part C : Elimination method Check for options which are straight opposite to each other Q what do we learn from 3rd paragraph B and C options are straight opposite B people is the US sleep more than required D people sleep less than what is recommended From options we can see , sleep more and sleep less are opposite to each other One of these options will be the answer Other options will be eliminated Now from text : 30% of people claimed to sleep no more than six hours a night No more than = less than So option D is the right answer TS also gives the answer TS =previous studies have suggested that people who sleep less than five hours a night have a 15% greater risk of death Other example : Q the Cancer Council advises that : B the benefits of drinking red wine to prevent heart disease is conclusive C the evidence that alcohol can prevent or treat heart disease is inconclusive Conclusive and inconclusive are straight opposite,one of them will be the answer Eliminate the other two options Now from text: But what about the heart health benefits of alcohol?well,the evidence is inconclusive.
