Well I loved this! You are so clever in the way you put these vlogs together - the music, for instance, seemed perfectly suited to me, and it's such a pleasure to hear more about your life. And yay for three books read - I think North and South really ought to count for two, it's so rich and long. I loved the miniseries (haven't read the book). Also The Miniaturist is a book I've looked at on and off for ages. I, too, was not drawn to the narrator of the audible version, but I would certainly consider the ebook now. I did feel for you with your twitter spat. Twitter seems to me (I may be wrong, I'm not that much on social media) still the most antagonistic of the platforms, but the urge to argue with someone on the opposite side of the debate must be biological, lol, as it is hard to hold it down, even knowing how near impossible it is to change other people's minds. I get drawn in with my mother too often.... Hope the ritual was a great success.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the vlog, I really wasn't used to filming my day to day! North and South and The Miniaturist were both great and I highly recommend both! I do really love Twitter, and it's been great for putting my channel out there. But it's an awful place for discourse, especially because of the character limit of tweets. But as I said in the video, I try to think of how much time I'll waste if I engage. And yes, the ritual went great! It was outside and I got to hang out with some of my pagan friends for the first time in months!

@@Emiloid There were such lovely touches in this vlog - your hands on the screen of the tablet, for instance. Yes, I like what you say about discourse being the issue on twitter, and restricted discourse at that. And SO happy to hear the ritual was a success AND finally a chance to catch up with friends!
