a detailed video on how to know the health of your engines by reading the spark plugs . in this video I walk you through removing the sparkplug from your engines with simple layman tools and analyzing the air-fuel mixture by looking for deposits that have formed on the sparkplug's tip (i.e the centre and ground electrodes). This video will be extremely helpful for those who want to know the overall health of their engines and want to keep it in good nick or want to save it from further damage.

Hello brother thank-you so much for this video but I have a question..i have meteor 350 and the stock spark plug is borch yr7mes as per the heat chart ideal NGK Spark plug for meteor would be CR6EIX however that model is non existence but CR7EIX and CR8EIX is there with recommended gap. I had purchased CR8EIX before watching this video.. so will this do just fine or will it be too cold for my bike? Do I need to purchase CR7EIX? Your response will be greatly appreciated..thanks

To me it seem more a little on the lean side. The metal thread side is allwas black but your white ceramic around the center electrode is totaly white. should be at least grey (the light brown from 80s is realy hard since lead isnt in the fuel any more) in my opinion.

Hello Ben, I have my 2020 himalayan bs6 and have recently ordered ngk iridium CR7EIX model. As you informing in the video that you use the CR8EIX model. Instead of using the 8EIX model can i use the 7EIX ? Does it bring any problems in future ?

What if spark plug shows rich but adjusting carburetor resulting in engine off from idle.
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN 3 жыл бұрын
Over all riding conditions the mix would show rich . But to determine which circuit is lean or rich independently you will have to do plug chops at those RPMs . Pls read about this on the net . It’s a vast subject. Plugs show overall mixture , they don’t show a specific circuit’s mix unless u do the above mentioned .

the ignition cable is a splitfire twincore . it is a low resistance wire that transfers the electricity quickly to the sparkplug. i clean my engine with 3m shampoo and a toothbrush and apply a coat of silicone spray once it has dried up.

Bro i have seen mechanics using sand paper to clean the spark plug and then using a brush dipped in petrol to clean the carbon deposits and then wiping it clean with a cloth is it okay? And can we clean the outer tip of the spark plug?
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN
@ONTWOWHEELSBEN 4 жыл бұрын
Adarsh Surya never use a sandpaper to clean a centre or ground electrode. Use a throttle body or injector cleaner ( petrol is also a good option ) . Spray the solvent . Wait for a minute and wipe off with a rag . Adjust to spec . .8 mm is good for the Himalayan .
