i appreciate you mentioning wanting to slow down! I sometimes get exhausted watching booktubers read like 10 books in a week because it feels they're reading because they have to and not because they want to and it takes the fun out of it for me. but great video! If you want an unpredictable book you should read "the 7½ deaths of evelyn hardcastle". I know a lot of people that read it but none of them figured it out. It's one of my favs, really reccomend

The thing with thrillers/mysteries for me is, I actually love figuring it out, as long as it’s not like glaringly obvious. It just makes me feel smart? I don’t know, but I usually love figuring out who the killer is or something so it was interesting for me to see you not enjoy that and see from a different perspective!

I loved the Silent patient! it was my favorite book of 2021, but the Maidens was a little disapointing for me. i was a little weirded out.

i love one of us is lying, it is one of the first books i READ, not listened to, read after high school and for fun. i have never been a reader/audio book person, i only started sept 2021, got in a slump nov 2021-feb 2022 (took me that long to listen to 1 book). i love reading about drama. one of us is lying is knives out meets pretty little liars meets gossip girl meets breakfast club and love all. wish more people read it

I read Rock Paper Scissors a few months ago and I can RELATE!!! That book was just too good and I’ve been struggling to find one as good but if you like courtroom drama, I’d recommend thirteen by Steve Cavanagh!

my favorite thriller is the 7 1/2 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I hate saying this about books, but I'm gonna cus I wanna convince you to read it lol. it has a crazy twist that even someone like me, who guesses 90% of plot twists, was surprised. HIGHLY recommend it, it's become one of my favorite books!!!
