authors who write incest plots for romance reasons makes me want to live on a different planet

@@newlynova Then go their we'll happily read are smute. Like I understand theirs a adversion their but it's fiction. I don't care about fictional characters doing incest and in the book it's not even incest cause it's step family. She didn't have any family relation to them prior so on top of it being fiction I don't care enough.
@n1ck-st3r10 ай бұрын
@@hellriderindustries3083There's like, a whole lot to unpack here. Even if it's fiction, it doesn't make it any less problematic and books like these are what are driving kids to mushed brains 💀. Just because it's fiction doesn't mean you get to write things like SA, incest, etc. It glamorizes it, and again, gives teenagers the wrong impression because books like these are constantly getting praised on booktok when they're not even well written, horrible plot, and disgusting subjects that are discussed within. And I'm sure there are books with smut that aren't like, incredibly weird on a morality-basis. Hell, I've read better Ao3 smut. But like you said, read whatever you like and if you like them, good for you.

Oh dear. I took “smashed her whole step family” in the intro to mean she murdered them and I was like yeah sounds legit. My brain just didn’t go to incest for some weird reason. I would love a full spoiler video about it cause I’m not gonna read it, but I’m very curious.

So, you prefer to read someone killing all her family members than her smashing the whole family? What's wrong with people today? Since when death is normal ? And if you answer this is fiction, I will answer the same about the smashing the whole family thing

@silmist11 again we are living in a world where people prefer to read and watch about someone killing all his family members than having them have relationships with those set families. This is wild. 21:58 “Foreshadowed [derogatory]” We definitely need a word for this because I felt the exact same way reading Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. I did end up enjoying the books but Rebecca Yarros seems so afraid that people won’t see her foreshadowing that she shoves it down your throat. She WANTS you to piece it together way in advance and then is surprised when people called the whole plot before the end of the first book. “The fifteen year old reading this who didn’t catch it the first time will have something to annotate the second time” literally just describes everything that Rebecca Yarros did in Fourth Wing.

Okay, soooo this may be a hot take. As someone fairly new to smuttok but have been reading romance for years including Zane novels in the early 2000s. Has anyone else noticed majority of the female main characters in these viral smut novels are all under 23? But the authors are all over 35? I'm 37 and kind of weirded out by this. Is it just me? I can also go on about lack of diversity and how most of the female main characters are described as "petite", "doll like", "fragile" etc.
@veru.krejci10 ай бұрын
I noticed it too and it makes me so uncomfortable. Especially when the female characters are described as "tiny" and the other words you said. No diversity at all. Most female characters between the ages of 17-25, thin with breasts and butt for days, under 5'5. Even with men. They’re all at least 6’3, have a manhood of a horse that the women like to repeat the question "Is it going to fit my small body?". As a 17 year old (literally the same age as the girl in Credence), I’m sick to my stomach for the majority of those books because they are literally only a few years older and made out to be children-like at times

I never understood how anyone could like Credence besides for the smut. It’s problematic at its best. A 40 year-old sleeps with his niece freshly after she turns 18 (he has shown sexual interest in her even BEFORE she turned 18 and she still calls him uncle), Kaleb, or whatever his name, is an assaulter and people only excuse it because "He has trauma🥺". He literally throws himself at her multiple times after she says no, physically assaults her after knowing she slept with his dad and writes a sl*ut (or some other slur) on her forehead, spits in her face for it too. And she ends up with him? People are supposed to root for them after all of that? I really can’t comprehend how it’s so popular.

Where is the filter, when is ok to just be quiet and …. Not share? Why do we think people need to know every sick, twisted, intrusive thought? It’s almost like a “taking everybody down w this ship” moment over and over.
