I love excitement about books and handcrafts, my two favourite things. Great reviews (eloquently put) as always.

So this just makes sure the next Robinson I read is Antarctica, despite the drawbacks of it. We share a desire to work through all of Robinson's work. Never apologise for being enthusiastic about crafting as it's always really nice to see and hear you. Loom time enthusiasm sounds good to me.

At some point I need to reread the Mars trilogy though, just to come back around to my favorite things ever by KSR, and see what it is about those books that I love so much, compared to the things that came before and after.

@@Kalanadi For some reason reading the Mars trilogy together immediately came to mind, even though they're a bit long for that.

I have Forget Me Not in both audio and eARC, I may have to try it on audio first! Your criticism of the ending will likely bug me too, but yaaaay fun books. The spinning and sweater look great! A block will straighten out any gauge issues with the sweater, I'm sure of it.

I'm really wondering if you'll agree with me on the ending and the female lead!

I've got Moth Keeper out from the library right now, so I'm looking forward to that. And it looks like a koala! Very cute.

I have also been cursed with the non finishing problem haha. Though mine is due to work/school stress and not other interests 😂 It’s been really nice finally being able to catch up with your videos! I did manage to finish the Terraformers by Newitz and while I had a couple issues with it, overall really enjoyed it Are you making a Koala?!?! It’s so fuzzy looking! I’m so excited to hear about your loom!

I hope school isn't stressful for too long! I've been pretty tired from work too, so it feels like every day I have less energy to actually get the fun stuff done. I'm looking forward to The Terraformers. I'm semi-banned from the library until I read some more of my own books this month, but it's high on my list...

I feel you, I too have not finished a lot of fiction books since the year started, but at least this month I have read a lot of non fiction books. Anyway, is not related to the video but I saw somewhere, I guess goodreads, that you have read the Penric & Desdemona series. I have read just the first novella but i am sooo confused about the order of reading, goodreads shows me two different orders, one chrolonogical and the other related to the date of publication, but the dates are not making sense to me. Could you please tell whats the best order to read the novellas? anyway, i love your videos!!

I would definitely recommend reading the Pen and Des novellas in internal chronological order. In that order, they do follow the progress of Pen's life. If I remember correctly... some of the ones written "out of order" are shorter standalones (e.g., Masquerade in Lodi), whereas the later ones published in order cover a pretty big connected story arc.

Thanks Rachel! 🙌 Wow excellent review of 'Antarctica'! 👍Agreed. Robinson sometimes has set characters he drops in to a book and voila!🎉 Michael Creighton was guilty of the same.🤔 I met him at work once. He was seven feet tall! 🤯I gotta say Antarctica is the better of the only other science fiction book I can think of about Antarctica, 'The People's Republic of Antarctica'.🦤 Ooof. 👎Fantastic title awful book.😂

I always laugh whenever I encounter a "Frank" or a "John" in Robinson's books because he does seem to love those names, and just those same kinds of characters. But the ideas and settings/landscapes - superb!
