great video. i would make some type of splash guards/grit barriers for around the rear wheel inner fender so that your engine doesn't suck in any road debris/ fod. also like some have suggested, getan intake sock or some sort of cover for that filter.
@AnabolicGoat2 жыл бұрын
I suppose he will do it after he finishes everything in the engine bay, because he then will know how much clearance he has to leave for all the components. Would be pretty dumb not to do it and knowing Caleb and his great fab skills, he will absolutely do it right.

I love watching young hot rodders embracing tech. You're using that plasma table to do exactly what they're intended for in a shop like yours. Vastly increase the throughput, save on beating up your body, and having a beautiful end product. Now if you'd have a powder coating oven to have some powder coating montages... You know...

You should put some sort of barrier between the zip ties and AN lines. Rubbing over time will cause problems. Might not be for a while but netter safe than sorry.

I'd be more worried about the contact between the an line and metal bracket. Zip ties will hold foreverish because these lines don't have the stainless steel sleeve. It's just woven thread

I’ve been really enjoying this build. I’ve always had the idea of mid-engine swapping something and ironically I found your channel as you were moving into your new shop then you start building this. I always wanted to take a S65 from the E92 M3 and mid-engine swap it into an early model E30. I’ve pondered this idea for probably 2 years now. Getting information, links and measurements from the internet, forums and now you. What transaxle to go with (maybe even awd), suspension geometry, clearances and diff ratios, placement of tanks, radiators, etc. I thinks what sparked this idea is my love for the E30, the S65, LTO kit for the E30 and the want to just do something wild but built with purpose. It would be a wild rendition of a time attack/dtm racing form and function. One day I hope to be able to bring this vision to life because it is my dream car and dream build.
