I'm 58 and lost my wife 2 years ago to a heart attack, she was 7 years older than me. I remember when I first saw her at work she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen but way out of my league. She always wore high heals and smelled wonderful, I would get so nervous and couldn't speak when she was near. This song had just come out on radio and it put my feelings into words so perfectly, I ran out and bought the cassette. About a week later I overheard her asking one of her girlfriends if they could give her a lift home after work due to some car trouble. Some how I worked up the courage to offer her a lift home.... she said yes!! Everything for the rest of the day was a blur but I do remember this song playing on the way home. Over the years we have laughed about that ride and that song but the feelings never fade, hearing this song makes me cry. I miss you Sandra and will always love you.

Watching these 80's music videos from the color schemes, video quality, lighting from the sun/interior lighting and the slow sensuality of the music really gives you heavy nostalgia of these times. Even though I grew up in 90's/early 2000's, it just makes me extremely proud that I was on this planet during this decade despite being born in '88.

Melvin Riley a remarkable artist and musician. Never got the notoriety as Prince. He truly was Ready For The World. Musically and vocally talented.
@konakona8952 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately in the music industry it's politics really do not represent how we the fans truly value these artists! This man an his music means more to me than Prince any day!!! However Prince has music I love. It's sad the level of success musicians achieve are really decided by the music industry! When you grow up on great music such as this and all the other music 60's-70's-80'-90's you are a product of the music an it's a direct reason you are the person you are today!
