So with full release my game would crash when trying to go into first mission until I switched to dx11. Just recently finished the campaign and overall mainly had bad lag on the mission in the woods and the mission in that house in the suburbs. Other than that most missions ran fine for the most part

So, when I boot up this on my deck, it only allows me to use gyro even though I have it disabled. I can’t get it to let me use the sticks to move/camera. When I go to controller settings in the game to change it, I’ll press the thumbstick in the direction for forward/back/left/right but it keeps telling me that I can’t change it and it says something about replacing that key would change something else, and even if I hit ok, it doesn’t change. What on earth am I missing?

Hey! Make sure you don't rebind the controls within the game, then change the controller config in the steam os menu. Does this happen in any other game? I had a similar issue when pressing any of the steam deck menu buttons, by pressing the ... key twice it fixed it sometimes

@@SantiagoSantiago I was trying to rebind them in the game menu. It would not change anything after pushing the stick for forward and backward. It was insanely frustrating. The fact that there isn’t deck support with actual controls, drives me nuts. I’m also a pc noob. So this whole pc world is confusing for me.

@@BobaVett idk if you've figured it out by now; but go into the steam deck controls for RoN; set your left analog as a directional pad and map it to WASD. Then set your right analog to a joystick mouse. I'm sure there's plenty of layouts you could choose from as well if you're not interested in mapping everything yourself; just pick one (or try a few) and alter it as you need. In general from what I understand it's best to map most games using the native steam options; there's tons of things you can change within each setting. I just got the game and it took quite awhile; but I got everything set up working on an Xbox controller with just two back buttons; so you can definitely get a working control scheme with full deck controls

@@BobaVettlook up a channel on here called NerdNest; he does a very in depth breakdown of how all the steam control options work, it's called "Steam Input Tutorial" (followed by some other words), he's also done a few shorter follow ups but that's the one that really explains everything, 2 years old and it's still the best one I've watched to understand this stuff. I think I'm newer to this stuff than you tbh 😶 but that video helped me getting RoN working so check it out

@@Webly101 I never considered connecting a controller to it, not sure if that makes it easier, but the issue I had, unless I’m doing it wrong, is while trying to bind the buttons for the deck controls, it would ask to map forward, left, right, and backward. It would only allow me to map the stick to 2 of those options, but wouldn’t let me fill all 4 directions out, maybe it doesnt need to be, but I just could not figure out how to make sense of it, and I had a hard time figuring out how to use a community layout. A lot of it is just my lack of knowledge in the PC space, theres probably 1,000s of things I can do with the deck, that I don’t understand.

Thanks! Yes, using gyro as mouse input works perfectly, definitely helps with aiming quite a bit

Es una de mis sagas preferidas, va a tomar un tiempo, pero quedate tranquilo que toda la saga va bien, incluso el título más reciente "The man who erased his name" y los juegos "Judgment" funcionan de maravilla a 30-40 fps aprox y están Verificados. El 0 y los anteriores están sobrados de rendimiento

Requires some tweaks on the controls, or using mouse and keyboard, if you want to go full gamepad on it, I recommend you wait for them to add native gamepad support (in my opinion)

I’ve been playing it on my steam deck a few months the issue are I didn’t want to use a community layout I created my own and depending on the mission I still have to bind certain things if I wanna carry gas/shotgun/stingers while communicating to my AI teammates gets difficult at times but besides that the game been crashing very often and freezing up

Are you using cryoutilities and the 4gb vram on bios? If yes, I would recommend you delete the game's config file, should be located on: /steamapps/compatdata/1144200/pfx and in that folder or the next one you should find a "User" folder, then "deck", and in "appdata" go to the "local" folder, delete the .ini files in the "Saved" folder within the ReadyOrNot folder. Make sure to launch it with DX11
