The original script originally ended with the Le Domas' succeeding in killing Grace. But Radio Silence changed the ending as they felt it was too bleak of an ending and didnt gel well with the comedic tone of the movie

The thing is if he really loved her he would have told her the truth. There is a chance you will pick hide and seek and then my family will try to kill you so THAT is why I can't marry you. Let's never have anything to do with my family. That is all he had to do if he loved her. The actress that played Emily was the lead in Wynnona Earp. She was great in that too but here she is absolutely hysterical.

I don’t think the family would have exploded if they hadn’t tried to kill Grace; the rules were that they had to try to kill her until sunrise, and they did, but she won. I don’t think the rules ever said that they would die if they lost. They died because they broke the rules and tried to kill Grace after she won.

kk i feel like his chance since he basically left the family and there wasa dealwith the devil if he joined a church and got married there maybe changed his last name before that they could be safe off in some other country the mistake was coming back lefting them know he was engaged & also FUCK THAT GUY he said if it was down to his momor his bride he's going with his bride but it came down to it & he saw his bride kill his mom is self defense mind you and he was like yup i'm on mom's side -_-; such a shame I'm sure people born into this family don't WANT the deal their ancestor made & everyone dies if the new spouse pulls that card & survives I wonder if anyone ever tried leaving and joining a church
