In the book after they open the 3rd gate, he simply said in a blink of an eye he heard a cracking noise that sounded like the universe just ripped in half than him and everyone else on that whole planet froze and turned into dust including Holidays castle after looking like skeletons. Nobody knew who detonated the artifact except either it the Sixers or Sorento. Sorento had 26 99 level avatars beyond the sector waiting for everyone to perish so they can easily obtain the egg.book is so much better
