Thank you so much for doing this! Ever since I upgraded my Home Theatre to 7.2.6 I notice when the mixer was lazy with Atmos effects. It is expected with the Disney/Marvel content, but I was very surprised when I noticed that Ready Player One only uses the Top Middle channels in my system now. Your visualisation shows me why now...👍 I hope we will see many more of these Videos in the future, which is why I subscribed to your channel now.

So they're basically using static objects as constructive "channels" and doing any cross-channel pans at the mix stage rather than dynamically in the processor.

You will notice that the Object based content (Yellow Balls) are static most the time. We have to remember that the object viewer doesn’t show the whole story. It doesn’t show the size or focus of the object just it’s position. So it might be that the object is much larger and covering more area than is being shown. This is especially true of static objects. Just because they aren’t moving doesn’t mean they aren’t increasing in scale or focus 👍

utterly shitty disappointment.....i literally thought it's a dynamically moving or panning atmos track but it looks like I was wrong and it's just a normal 7.1 channel based mix with the use of height speakers which also are mixed with just the old fashioned channel based approach ☹️

Correct, this is not an ACTIVE mix this is a static mix, while disappointing and far from the best, it still has its moments of audio bliss.

Okay now you're just showing off😅🤣😂!! How many speakers do you have in your room and how many subs? Inquiring minds want to know. The coins have always been one of my favorite sound effects. That and anything Kong does.

Wow, such a disappointment. They only used Atmos for the marketing and mixed the movie the old fashioned way. Keep these up, we might build a dictionary of movies that are real atmos and fake atmos....
