You know what I think makes this work so well? How tinny it sounds at the start. The first 54 seconds are very "MIDI" and loosely layered together. It sounds like a cheap cover at first, with fast attack/decay, basic drum samples, and minimal effects. The drop at 0:55 works so well because of the sudden sharp contrast: reverberation, vibrato, very realistic drums and instruments, and well-mastered to give the whole thing a very "large" presence. I'm citing this in the future as an example of how contrast really makes things stand out. Bravo! :D
