Thanks for the video, i’ve been struggling against the grand prix and figuring out a good setup, this flank attack is one of the reasons ive been having problems with crossing 2100 rating, but now I have a better understanding of the position. Thanks

16:53 i disagree. There is a very simple line after Nxd5. Instead of playing a6, you can play d5 which results in a position that is mich easier to play and with more winning chances for black than the main lone in my opinion. It is objectively sound as well.
@jojo428428able Жыл бұрын
Very late reply, haha. But funny enough IM Andras Toth has a video on the GPA and with the same condidence without any comments he says "of cause we gonna capture the bisop" and than follows it up with the mentioned d5 line. And I actually think this was a conscious decision cause as you said it is just simpler play, pawn sac can always be dangerous for both sides and you have to know more.

I won classical game in 11moves against 1950elo😂😂😂. Drinks are on me if we meet on any tournament. 1. e4 c5 2. Nc3 Nc6 3. f4 g6 4. Nf3 Bg7 5. Bc4 e6 6. d3 Nge7 7. Qe2 O-O 8. O-O d5 9. Bb3 Nd4 10. Qe1 c4 11. Ba4 b5

I would just add that if in the Bb5 line after Nd4 Bc4 immediately you go e6 0-0 d5 ed5 Nge7! or instead of 0-0 they go e5 Nh6 Ne4 Nf3+ Qf3 0-0 0-0 d5 ed6 and here Bd7/Rb8/Nf5
@MiodragPerunovicOfficial2 ай бұрын
Thanks for that addition! To be honest with you, I wasn’t familiar with the line Bc4 e6 0-0 d5! ed5 Ne7! Nice one 💪

Mio, fantastic video as always! I agree that 2…Nc6 is superior to 2…d6 when it comes to the GPA. My question is whether you think a Najdorf player can effectively play 2…Nc6 without having to learn a non-Najdorf open Sicilian? It seems like white can practically force an open Sicilian in this line: 1.e4,c5 2.Nc3,Nc6 3.Nge2 followed by 4.d4 where black is committed to Nc6.
@MiodragPerunovicOfficial3 жыл бұрын
On 3.Nge2 play e5!? and avoid it! Najdorf players do play often 2…d6, but its not my suggestion!

Yeah, Miodrag we would appreciate if you could be kind enough to record a post a video about a Closed Sicilian as well as Wing Gambit(b4)..

Miodrag, there is a really interesting line when you take the bishop on b5 (instead of a6), Nxb5 , Nxb5, d5 ! , exd5 a6 !, Nc3 Nf6 and white can't hold d5.

Thankyou for the video it was very helpful. Recently I lost a game in the grand prix because I didn’t know what I was doing. But now I do! A question. In the 5. Bb5 line when you play a6 is Be2 also a possibility? Why is Bd3 better?

@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial Seems like White gets a developmental advantage as well because black has moved the c pawn. I think the Dutch might get better results against the English opening if it is played like a grand prix attack with E5 as the first move then it does as classical against D4. Is that a posibiity?
