I love and hate you so much for this video. I *just* upgraded from Reaktor 5 to 6 so that I could use Blocks to try and quench my growing desire to burn my wallet in sacrifice at the altar of Eurorack, and have been watching the tutorial series to get an idea of how routing should be done in Reaktor. I should never have been informed that Reaktor had such sophisticated CV capabilities. Then you just had to go and hook it up to a Mother-32... Asheville is dangerously within driving distance of my house, and I can't be trusted to protect my financial future with this new knowledge. So...ignoring the giant pit I'll now be throwing my money into, thanks a ton for making this series. You've covered all the small details I was looking for in a concise manner, and accurately described the functions of these modules/Blocks in a way that makes sense to a hardware nerd like myself. Thanks

Thanks for this super video. I just got a new Komplete 6 interface to hook it up with the modular stuff I have. Reaktor is crazy stuff really!

I got lost at 5:57 when he set the input and output: I have no idea why this was a good idea, and, as I expected, it is not working with my Komplete Audio 6 into a Lifeforms module...guess I'll come back when I figure it out.

Your video's usually help me out a lot but I'm stumped beating my head against the wall trying this with expert sleepers ES8 and mother 32. Getting the !!! on pitch CV out.

tried directly with the usb straight out of my MBP, got a gate signal and no note, tried adat optical cable, crickets! head meets desk... :(

When I get to the point in the tutorial 6:18 where I hook the input of the MOTU Ultralite into the output of Reaktor, I do not hear my Mother 32. I see meters on my Ultralite- like there is sound going into the Ultralite- it just does not pass through Reaktor. Can you help?
@promixr4 жыл бұрын
I'm still having this issue- it's so strange. In every other way my Ultralite behaves normally - It just won't pass audio through Reaktor's inputs to it's outputs.

Great video. I have a Mother 32 and and older Motu 828 (First Generation) but what type of cables do i need to connect both units without damaging my synth?

hi, i have been looking for something like this for almost a year... But I cant still see how I would make it work with my setup; I have an expert sleepers ES-4 (the spdif version). Problem is I dont seem to get access to the actual 5 outputs from the module, but just to a stereo pair as if it was just seeing a stereo spdif output. This means I am actually getting stuff out of reaktor into my modular, but just from the first output on the ES4. I have seen some people have done "expert sleepers compatible blocks", but I have not managed to make any of those work. I am trying to do this in ableton by the way. And oh! I went through your synthesis with reaktor course, a total must, thank you very much for that!

Hi, thanks for the response! I am using a Reaktor Block someone posted in Muffwiggler (the modular synth forum). This module is supposed to do the decoding Silent Way software does. I have been speaking with people both in that muffwiggler post and in the Reaktor forums, even emailed the creator of the block. But no one seems to have an answer to my issue. I am assuming my Foscurite Scarlett is doing something funny, I don't know, all this is very desperating... I might just ditch the ES-4 altogether and go the ADAT way or wait for the new ES-8 usb interface... Thank you for your time though, and especially for spreading your knowledge!

Hello, first of great video, I got same setup as you do in the video, I just cant seem to find an Unbalanced TS cable to minijack (mono) so I can patch from my MOTU into Moog Mother 32. I got myself TS patching cables, but how the heck do i plug them in to Moog? No one seems to have TS Unbalanced to 3.5mm mono. I got myself mono to mono adapter thinking I found the right ones, but they dont seem to "fit" they just dont align and just fall off. :S

Hi there. A question from a total beginner. I have a Traktor Kontrol Z2 . How it is possible to connect to my mother 32 to Reaktor 6 ? Thank you .

i use an aggregate audio device for Reaktor. MOTU and ZZZ ES-8. in standalone i have no problem setting up outs 1 - 22 to use with my audio setup. but in Logic [or possibly any DAW] it looks like you can only setup 1-16 outs for Reaktor. is there a way to get more than 16 outs when using Reaktor as a plugin thanks

Hi, thanks for sharing this. Quick question. In the Rme only 7/8 headphone output are Dc coupled.. So I have only 1 output for the CV. Does the gate also need to be coming in from a Dc coupled output? Thanks

It's really to bad that Native Instruments own interfaces don't support these sort of outputs. I feel like they always do stuff like that where it's ALMOST a complete well thought out ecosystem but they miss some important things. REAKTOR is amazingly good though so who cares
