Great question... I'll look into it. And did you ask about Newscool before? Sorry if I forgot to respond. Here's what I would try: 1) Load the Carbon 2 ensemble. 2) Drag the Newscool Sequencer instrument (not the ensemble) into the structure. 3) Select Newscool and go Properties > Connections > MIDI Out (Internal Instruments) > Carbon 2. 4) Start the system clock; hopefully Newscool will now be sequencing Carbon. Good luck!

you can enter in midi map mode and select the range that spiral use for midi (ex. from c3 to c4), after that select the parameter that you want modulate by click on it. Thanks Brent for the video! Cheers from Italy

Wow, that's a pretty glowing recommendation. Have you tried loading Spiral, entering edit mode, and then going Properties > Connect > and selecting the Sub Phatty from "To External Devices" under "MIDI OUT"?

Fantastic, Brent. Another great gift! Thanks. Is there a way to route spiral to control other parameters? e.g filter cutoff, sample selection etc.....? Is there a way o harness the output of the Newscool sequencer in the same way?

From my experience, only the VST version of REAKTOR will perform as shown in the video. The AU seems to only give the "Pre" and "Post" options (as you've found).

That's a great question. I am quite certain that you can. Do you have a hardware synth?

Hi Alexandre, sorry to take so long getting back to you. Sometimes this problem occurs when you have the Reaktor AU installed rather than the VST. Do you know which one you are using?

id be envious too :) i give it a 100% recommendation - it sounds amazing, the controls are perfect and the build quality is the best ive owned on any piece of hardware... - im using the moog midi murf pedal with it and its just so expressive on leads... I'd love to get it happening with reaktor especially with spiral - any help would be greatly appreciated...

This looks cool but I have a question, I have set everything up as you have but when I click on the input channel drop down window on the piano track all I can see is Pre FX and Post FX but no Reaktor 5, do you know what might be wrong? I have live 8.3.4 and Reaktor 5.8 on a mac pro. Thanks

Hi Brent. I love your videos and am sad to see that your website link leads to a blank page. Has it been decommissioned? Thanks for all the sensational work you have left here!

Hello Brent, like Alexander and other people here, I have the same problem with midi config. Just pre and post, not Reaktor. I'm using AU in Live 9. Could you bring some light on this? Thank you!

Hi Brent, Love your Tutorials. Here is a question. I am using live 9.6 and in setting the "midi from" on my instrument track as you do here in this video I can select "Spiral" - the name I gave the track with Spiral on it but in the second drop down menu I only get Pre FX and Post FX as options and that midi track with Spiral on it can't be selected. I of course am getting no sound. What did live change to make it that the setup you show here doesn't work and have you found a different approach? Thanks for your time! Best, Darren

Thanks. The bluewatervst link is dead. It is worth taking a little more time to make yourself clear on each point. I would be able to stop pausing the tutorial to make sure I got what you said.

is spiral a part REAKTOR? Sorry if that question is a stupid one.
@BrentKallmer10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's one of REAKTOR' sequencers. You can find it under Factory > Ensembles > New Additions > Sequencers.
