I just had the best time this evening doing his lesson with you. My cup of Chamomile tea and my Fender P bass with flats. So much fun! Thanks for your content!

Greetings from Australia. I really value your videos. And even though I’ve been playing on and off for years I always learn something . And your touch and tone are exactly to my taste. Keep up the excellent work.

Jim teaches me so much more than just the tune. He teaches me that whether you’re playing Jaco or a beginner’s riff you can delight in doing it well … as he does. Wonderful, life-affirming teacher. Miss you Big Jim.

at 1:02 in going up to G, you play (1st time) G-D-'E'-G, then back down to F which an exact copy of the riff in F. NEXT time, at 1:20, U play G-D-F-G, keeping 1st finger on F(d string). Does it matter to you which?? I'm thinking in terms of keeping the 'sound' of the F figure sound in continuance.....simply curious....Thanks!!

Lots of fun! Trouble with ghost notes, though. I've got the rhythm no problem but I sometimes trip over the muted ghosts. Any tips?

Please say what is the reason to learn quite easy alien bass line? There are millions of it everywhere.
@realbasslessons93565 жыл бұрын
The reason is not this specific line. The benefit is to play-along with me. Copy my sound, my time, my articulation, and my "execution of the eighth note rhythms." We are practicing accuracy and clarity of the eigth note patterns. The reason is learn to hear your own playing better and make it more solid and clear. And finally, to develop the discipline to repeat the simple line, perfectly. Sounds like you don't need this lesson.

Thank you. I am on the way of learning bass and trying to find how to do it better. Theory? Arpedgios? Exercises?Gammas? Copying another people? That because I asked.

@@Genson50 I suggest you find a good private teacher and then do what they tell you to do.
