As a white man, I became fascinated by the black cowboy and Buffalo Soldiers at a young age. I wasn't taught about them in school. I was taught about them by my German father. I love learning about history and often wonder, "Why isn't this taught in school?". It's fascinating. Did you know the first park rangers were Buffalo Soldiers? The Buffalo Soldiers were responsible for helping build the infrastructure in the West? They fought the Indians and were there, fighting with Teddy Roosevelt, at San Juan Hill? I would LOVE for some big movie producer to make an accurate movie about the Black Cowboys and the Buffalo Soldiers.

You must do deep research on the first cowboy? It was the spainards who brought horses from Spain to America in 1492.in America white men and black men were not even in America yet. Spainards and Indians made Mexican babies, Mexicans cowboys were called vaqueros and handled cattle riding horses for 400 years till white men went to war with mexico because of 10000 black slaves who ran into Mexico? Mexico defended the black slaves because in Mexico it was against the law to have slaves, Texas, new Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, California belonged to Mexico after the Mexican and American war was fought white men who won and took all those states from mexico. In all the southwest states had horses and cattle were taken from Mexicans. All those Mexicans that were in United States with a stroke of the presidential pen were Americans? This was before blacks were still slaves. Vaqueros Mexican cowboys reigned the southwest for 400 years as cowboys then came white men after learning to be cowboys from the vaqueros. White men taught blacks how to be cowboys? If you research Spain and horses they go together. Spainards brought cattle and horses to America way before any white man was in America. DNa of a Mexican is 50 European and 49 percent American Indian with 1 percent African blood. African American DNA is 75 percent African and 24 percent European with 1 percent native American.

@@richardmontonio1486that's the bull lie they told! They didn't bring no horses to America bruh! America is the true old world and holds the oldest civilization in the world! And horses originated in America!

@@corythegoat2745 Don't listen to those old black men that never read of American history or Mexican history? If you research this in California there are 21 catholic missions built by spainards, and native American Indians in the year 1700s? You blacks were still slaves till 1865 when slavery was abolished? Those 21 missions are still standing today in California. You blacks came in slave ships in 1619 in Jamestown and white men came in 1609 spainards came in 1492 in all the southwest states of America. Do research and a old black man storytellers is not research?

Beautiful. I have a natural love of horses. I was 3 when I remember being enamored with horses in books. I had never seen one in real life. I went on to join equestrian team in college and finally got to own horses. I always stood out as the only black rider learning dressage. Was SO AT HOME when I discovered the black trail rides. Their shows and events are so much more fun and loving than the white-run equine events.

The part that I was not aware of, were the young men in Los Angeles, CA. What they are doing is a great platform to educate and help improve their community. Have they been asked to ride in the Rose Parade yet?

In 1900 5000 blacks came to Los Angeles when there was already 38000 Mexicans who lived in California before the blacks came. Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, were heavy with Mexican cowboys. In Mexico they have rodeos, bullfighting, and still ride horses till this day they dress with boots and vaquero hats. Spain brought horses and cattle and how to ride and handle cattle in the year 1492. Vaqueros taught white men after the Mexican American war and white men taught black men how to ride after being released from slavery.

DNA of a black American is 75 African and 24 percent European and 1 percent native American Indian. DNA of a Mexican is 50 percent European= spainard and 49 percent native American Indian and under 3 percent African. Spainards brought horses and cattle to America when only Indians were here. There was no white or black men in America. Vaqueros= Mexican cowboys reigned the southwest for 400 years until the Mexican and American war. Vaqueros taught white men how to ride then white men taught blacks how to ride after the civil war in 1860. Remember Christopher Columbus brought horses and cattle in 1492 to the southwest states. There are 21 missions catholic churches in California dating back into 1700s Mexicans and native American Indians built them. They still stand today in California. The red clay tile on the churches were created because Indians were angry at spainards because the way they were treated. The spainards used hay for roofing material and the indians burned it down till finally spainards used red clay tile so indians couldn't burn the churches. In 1860 that is when slaves were released from slavery after the civil war. Vaqueros were the first cowboys then indians then whites then black men.

Tell them also how blacks were the first in space, the first on the moon and blacks created all the inventions in america but white men stole the plans and call it theirs, now mexicans are trying to steal black culture saying they were the first cowboys in america? We blacks created america and built everthing in america and were the first in america and we blacks built planes and cars and rockets to the moon. Yes we black people? We blacks rode horses from africa to america?

@Tigrezebra

No rewriting of history here...this is very normal in a place like the States where the population is black and white with a dominant white population that has always seen itself as the top of everything (insert whatever here: singers, dancers, shooters, writers, etc etc). It's called whitewashing... and inaccuracies arise about who was doing what as time passes...There have been black counterparts of almost every single thing the whites did. Once again, totally normal in a place like the States. So sad you people cannot accept your history!
