Great song! The woman with Ringo in the video is is wife, Barbara Bach. They've been together for over 40 years. In my teen years during the 70s decade, Barbara Bach was considered what we called at the time, one of the "Supermodels". She's also an actress. I believe her first film was the 1977 James Bond movie "The Spy Who Loved Me" (I was a huge fan of James Bond movies). Thanks so much for a great reaction! ✌💙✌

George was the first to hit #1 solo with My Sweet Lord in February 1971, Photograph was Ringo's first #1 on Billboard in November 1973 followed by You're 16 in January 74, it would be Ringo's last appearance in the top spot though he went on to have a total of 7 Top 10's. Ringo may have beaten Lennon and McCartney to the top position but they both had multiple Top 10's under their belt by the time Photograph was released.

Ringo Starr has had an amazing life. A popular member of the Beatles (1962-70), followed by a 50-year solo musical career (20 studio albums, the last in 2019), an acting career, narrated the dvd version of Harry Nilsson's animated movie The Point (1971), narrated the first two seasons of Thomas the Tank Engine TV show, has written books, is married to the beautiful Babarba Bach (the main Bond girl in The Spy Who Loved Me), still going strong at 82, and looking like he has discovered the fountain of youth (and the secret of life). I love the "wall of sound" approach they took in producing this song, which was co-written by Richard Starkey (Ringo) and George Harrison. I caught Ringo in concert last fall. Given how he has the moves of someone a quarter of his age, I couldn't believe how young he seems for someone aged 83. Please take a look at my favorite Ringo song, Oh My My! I didn't care though, I liked Ringo then and continued to have a thing for drummers into my teens and 20's, even dating one who played in a local band in the 80's. Ringo's greatest vocal is "Yellow Subamrine" and second place isn't even close. It really is his signature song, and it is a tune he has sung at EVERY concert for his entire career......because it is his SIGNATURE song. I saw his All-Star Band Live. What was on the playlist? Well.....Joe Walsh sang "Rocky Mountain Way". Burton Cummings sang "These Eyes". Dave Edmunds sang "I Hear You Knocking" and Ringo Starr sang "Yellow Submarine". Like I said. His signature song in a concert that was chock full of signature songs. Check out videos of Ringo's All Starr Band of 1992. That is the year that featured the fore mentioned artists playing together. In fact, it would make a dynamic reaction video. Oh yea.....he also sang this tune that you are reacting to now. It wasn't the encore. The encore, for the entire concert, was "Yellow Submarine". The entire crowd sang along with him. Get the hint.....yet? On edit: It is the "sing along" song of its time. Nothing more. Nothing less. That is the lens of which you must perceive it. The crowd just sings along with it. Every time.

@@cicadajet Absolutely correct and I stand corrected. The second-place song is close. Really, really close. A toss up actually. Your suggestion is certainly, the most listened to. I have been a Beatles fan since I was 4 y/o and remember dancing to my favorite Beatles album then, "A Hard Day's Night". So glad you reacted to Ringo's "Photograph". This was one of my favorite songs of 1973. You guys mentioned not having reacted to more Paul McCartney. I would like to suggest reaching to "My Love" one of my other favorite songs from 1973. Paul McCartney wrote this beautiful song for his wife and band mate Linda McCartney. Their 29 year marriage sadly ended when Linda passed away in 1998 of cancer. In '98, I saw Ringo Starr and His All-Star Band. The guest musicians on his bill were insane. Members of Cream, Peter Frampton, Pat Benatar opened and her husband slash lead guitarist shredded. He was cool AF. But, speaking to Ringo's affable, unflappable charm. This concept was in Concord, Ca, forty minutes out from San Francisco. So, he walks out to thunderous applause and greets us with, 'Hello, San Francisco!' which, of course, he got hit immediately with an equal amount of boos. He looked confused, walked calmly over to his guitarist who whispered in his ear, he nodded, walked back to center stage, head down the whole time, stopped, took a beat, then, with unbridled, unruffled enthusiasm belted out, 'Hello, Concord!!' Which then was followed by just as loud applause, but laughter now too. He had me Rolling. He told funny Beatles stories, very self-deprecating. Like how he carried that 'garage band,' And they had to break up because they were 'holding him back.' He opened with this song BTW and sounded just like the record. He had a whole lounge lizard vibe which he leaned into and embraced. Ringo was the world's coolest night club act

Speaking of vocal tone- everyone has a range where they are most comfortable. Some singers have a very wide range where they can hit high notes + low notes. Some have a range that’s fairly small including Ringo. Doesn’t make him a bad singer. He sticks to that range and all his songs fit his voice.

Ringo is one of my favorite drummers, for more reasons than just his playing. We share the same birthday, he is 27 years older, we share the same first name, though neither of us goes by it, we are both left-handed, and we are both drummers, although I play left-handed (like Phil Collins) and he plays right-handed, which gives him that one-of-a-kind Ringo sound.

Ringo likes photography. He has released a book of his photographs. There was also an exhibit which included his photographs at the Grammy Museum. It included some of his drum kits and other memorabilia. Ringo sang this at a tribute concert for George. If you take the lyrics from that standpoint, it's as if he's singing about George. Ringo had a string of hits post Beatles. His voice didn't blend well with the others so he usually didn't harmonize with Paul, John and George. Taking lead vocals on songs specifically written for him.

Sir Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr) is a Knight (a Knight Bachelor, the oldest order of British Knights, but the lowest ranked), however Sir Elton and Sir Barry (Gibb) outrank him as Knight Commanders. Ringo has, on the other hand, been Knighted twice! The other Beatles were also knighted. Ringo was Mr. Conductor for the first season of Thomas the Tank Engine show. He has made lots of movies and won awards. He was also nominated or some TV awards. He has been ranked in the Top 5 of all drummers, and has won many awards for his music. He has a Star in Hollywood in front of the Capitol Record Building along with each of the other 3 Beatles. He has at least one song on each of the Beatles albums. He was the first Beatle to become a grandfather and great grandfather. He has been married to actress Barbara Bach since 1981. They met during the movie Caveman (1981) that they both starred in.
