I AM BACK with the Mercedes Benz 2024 EQS 580 in orange on our KZbin Channel! 😍
In this video, we will be having real crash test showing you the Safety Features of the all-new Mercedes Benz 2023 EQS SUV 580 and will also show you the EQA SUV after the Crash!
Real-life crash test: Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles are every bit as safe as all other models from the
brand with the star
• Safety pioneer: Mercedes-Benz is world’s first car manufacturer to publicly conduct a frontal offset
crash between two electric vehicles
• Above and beyond the legal requirements: An EQA and an EQS SUV collided head-on with a
50 percent overlap in a real-life accident scenario, each travelling at 56 km/h
• Occupant protection confirmed: Passenger cell and high-voltage battery of both vehicles remained
intact as intended, doors could be opened and high-voltage systems switched off automatically
• Crash test makes clear that safety at Mercedes-Benz is not a matter of drive system
• “Safety Symphony”: New campaign uses super slow motion to visualise artistically how the safety systems work together
Stuttgart. With the world’s first public crash test involving two fully electric vehicles, Mercedes-Benz is going above and beyond not only the legal requirements but also those of the ratings industry. Euro NCAP
stipulates a frontal impact test using a 1,400 kg trolley with an aluminium honeycomb barrier replicating the front of another vehicle. In accordance with the specifications, the test vehicle and the trolley collide with an
overlap and at a speed of 50 km/h. Mercedes-Benz, however, used two real vehicles, an EQA and an EQS SUV which are significantly heavier at around 2.2 and three tonnes respectively. In addition, both models were
faster, each going 56 km/h, which meant that the overall crash energy was considerably higher than required by law. The vehicles’ extensive deformation following the collision may seem alarming to the non-expert. For the Mercedes-Benz engineers, however, it shows that the vehicles were able to effectively absorb the energy of the collision by deforming. As a result, the passenger safety cell of both electric models remained intact and the doors could still be opened. In an emergency, this would make it possible for occupants to exit the vehicle on their own or for first responders and rescue personnel to reach them. The high-voltage system in the EQA and the EQS SUV switched off automatically during the collision.

Weight counts, a lot of force transferred to the EQA.

ok cool so if u get into an 80 mph collision the entire car just explodes

It's not "the entire car," just the crumble zones which absorb most of the collision force. And no, the battery itself will not explode, since it's designed to shut off under critical conditions. Believing it would explode is as stupid as believing a gunshot to the engine could cause a car to explode. It's unlikely.
