magnesium powder in a vacuum tube with heated wires from electricity and has its own light grenade. it doesn’t have to be a vacuum, it can fill a space with the gas we have in neon lights or flashes.

i really recommend the mangaka, cause even though im "Reading" it, it actually feel like its being animated to me..... also their facial expressions dont CHANGE AT ALL ITS ALL THE SAME COMEDIC FACES the only annoying thing is that... there is too many text about science so the cool and simple way that dr.stone actually teaches us science is reduced....

the first episode i saw of this series was episode 15, and I immediately loved your reactions to dr. Stone since it's my favorite anime, and you should be hyped up for season 2 because it will be sooo nice and interesting you will love it. pls do longer reacting videos because your way of talking and explaining is so good and satisfying, you talk better than the most profs/teachers i know. The thing I don’t understand, is why didn’t Senku’s dad teach his village the scientific method. He gambled everything on Senku, with no backup plan. Also, over thousands of years there should be significantly more people than we see.

Fluorescence is explained correctly here. If I’m not mistaken, fun fact: Phosphorescence is the same concept, but said object maintains its glowing state for a longer period of time, even after the light source is removed. Pretty cool stuff

as a photographer the brightness during the day in the woods surrounded by trees is significantly dimmer then an open area, I make this point because i'd have to change my camera setting a bit to deal with less light if i were shooting in the woods or forest, if bright enough a flash bang could still be effective given the environment and time a day. just a thoght

You missed the particles inside the flash grenade, and the distinct bright white color of the flash. The bulb looks to have been one that wasn't put in a vacuum, and was filled with magnesium powder. The bulb was setup to cause the filament to quickly burn out, creating enough heat to ignite the magnesium powder. I'd assume Senku couldn't make a pure magnesium filament, so went with this improvised method of creating a magnesium flash bulb instead. As a side note, a magnesium flash bulb with as much magnesium powder as shown in that bulb _would_ likely be able to blind someone during the day. Also, the flash from a flash grenade is less about making you instinctually close your eyes, and more about dilating your eyes.

Would recommend you read "Release that witch!". It's a novel/manga that is focused around rebuilding modern society in the middle ages. Sadly with the use of magic to speed it up a little but the author really pushed the whole thing very far. Just... ignore the name as it's really not accurate after the first few chapters -.-. The story got a very mature vibe through it all, something that the manga lost due to it's art style and forced cuteness. The novel however is long, slow and filled with really interesting ideas about how to go about bettering a medieval lifestyle. From how to remove slavery to introducing pluming and steam generated power. Creating modern social standards for living and building up a fair society that frees itself from prejudice. Also guns, magic and demons. If you don't know it I think you would enjoy it :D

id like to see you cover fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, but a lot of the science is pseudoscience and alchemy. there is real science in the series and that is an aspect of alchemy within the show as well, but the alchemical part is fake. there are some cool science bits within it though, so maybe... its a series i would recommend that has science in a way as a significant aspect.
