The first quarter of 2024 had the lowest amount of accepted new mortgage applications since 2008. That's across all classes of real estate, across Canada. Not just big city condos.

This could also be why a lot of the sales recently are cash buyers. People are waiting for interest rates to come down

In some areas and product YES, not all, it really depends, we are seeing many price reductions and still no showings
