I’ve been a minimalist mostly since winter 2014.
Today I own around 240 items total (except my work stuff at work).
I am practicing furniture free living, starting from today!
Watch the exciting, realistic, everyday extreme minimalist home tour!

Wow this is crazy, I think any minimalists would find this impressive. I love all the open space, I like how you addressed that you aren’t afraid to spend money when you find something you want. I think I would need a bed, I’m trying to be minimalists, but I love to be “cozy”.
@gallerybyjoy
@gallerybyjoy 3 жыл бұрын
Wow thank you, that’s really kind :) Yes! I can see why bed would be important to even the most minimal person - if it affected my comfort a lot I’d keep a great bed by all means! I may get a bed in the future if I was living with someone who needed a bed etc., so I agree there’s really not one right way to do minimalism. Hope you have a great day! 😇

I love this video. I also sleep on the floor even though I still have a queen bed in my house. I am moving at the end of the month and I want to have a furniture-free home without chairs or a bed. What a great flat, I love how empty it is, and you have a lovely view! I am almost as minimalist as you are, except that I have a husband who has a bit more stuff, but luckily most of it is tools in his shed! I tried sleeping without a mattress but got quite bruised on my hips, so I sleep on a foam mattress now. I will be interested to hear how you get on, maybe you’re tougher than me! I'm in Arizona and there are plenty of cacti! Out west of where I am, the number of plants and cacti drops to near nothing because the rainfall average is so low, but right here and to the east, there is a pretty big abundance of cacti. It's still pretty dry. I'll probably not see any rain at all in the 3 months. Everything I own fits int he trunk of my car and I travel and do rentals for a few months here and there. I could get rid of more stuff, though.

My last move was a great excuse to ditch a lot of the furniture but I am not as minimalist as you :D Dr Bronner's is very versatile - it only works in my hair if I mix it with homemade coconut milk (googled a recipe) but it's my hand wash, face wash, and if I need to wash clothing by hand.

Since you are becoming an extreme minimalist it shows how much you care for the environment but sometimes it is also important that with minimalism and caring for plants we also care about other animals who die to be food on your plate. Just a suggestion try going vegetarian/ Vegan. it will help you become more and more cautious about your health and what you even put in your stomach. living a minimalistic life is good as I am minimalist myself but having a healthy diet is also a part of healthy envioirment. No hate. just give it a thought.

I've used Dr bronners for many many years and I would advise you not to shampoo your hair with it , it's very drying, but I guess some people rinse with acv.

Dr bronners needs to be diluted so you may not want to use it straight from the bottle. I use an off brand Castile soap and it's one part soap to 10 parts water so that big container you have will last a long time
@gallerybyjoy
@gallerybyjoy 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Miri! Yes I heard one should dilute dr bronners before, so thanks for the reminder! :) I didn’t realize 10 parts water can still work well as a soap so I appreciate that👍 Have a wonderful day!♥️

Well, we saw the insides of a lot of cupboards and drawers, but it was hard to get a feel for the place itself, as the camera was all over the place. Disappointing! I was looking forward to seeing the apartment and feeling the vibe of minimalism, but there was too much talking and moving around. 😕
