That's not his real face. The image of the Shroud is one of a man who was severely beaten. The pyramid of his nose was broken. By the time he got crucified he was blinded in one eye because of the thorns, his beard was plucked, there is a part missing, his face was swollen. His own mother could barely recognize him. On the way to Golgotha he fall so bad that by pure miracle he didn't died on the spot. The visionary Anne Catherine Emmerich describes in detail how the crucifixion was. Angels had to give him sort of a drink to strengthen him, otherwise he would not reach to the crucifixion place. What broke Jesus' heart the most was to see the children cursing him and spitting him trying to imitate their parents. Jesus endured so much just because he loved you. He wanted to give you life in him. Don't forget to say :"Thank you Jesus!"

When I had already gone into cardiac arrest for a few minutes this is pretty close to the way He appeared to me but His nose wasn’t that long. And He had the same appearance that He had during the transfiguration of Christ to a few of His disciples. None of us can copy that except for one painting made 100’s of years ago.
