Sad how we don't get feel good movies like this anymore.

Could this possibly be the most vivaciously feel-good film ending ever?! Geniuses winning out in the end, popcorn mountain fun, and Tears For Fears.....the 1980's were THE decade for comedies :)

Every time I hear Everybody Wants To Rule World by Tears for Fears, I think of this movie. I also think of this movie when I hear One Night Love Affair by Bryan Adams when the Pacific Tech students attended the Tanning Invitational pool party with the beauty school students. Great movie, and a lot of great memories growing up in the 80s.

9:04 - In the credits "Special Thanks To LAPIDUS POPCORN, INC." - In Real Genius, "Lapidus Popcorn, Inc." is credited as part of the production, specifically linked to the iconic popcorn scene. Lapidus Popcorn, Inc. was one of the suppliers that provided real popcorn for the scene. Over 140 tons of popcorn were used, making it a significant logistical challenge. The production team had to use specially treated popcorn, including some with fire retardant, to ensure safety during filming. The popcorn was continuously popped for months to achieve the effect. Lapidus Popcorn, Inc. was a popcorn supplier incorporated in California in 1971. There is little information publicly available about Lapidus Popcorn, Inc., and it appears the company primarily operated in the context of food supply and distribution, but is no longer active.

Must be a Tom Hanks look-a-like. Hanks was born in 1956 and this film was released in 1985. So, Hanks would have been in late 20's. Also, hanks was already making movies with John Candy in 1985 and was established and becoming a star.

@Madbandit772 жыл бұрын
That's not how it works. This is a clandestine military operation, meaning it has to succeed without the average person, let alone Congressman, knowing about it. If Congress knows, the American people knows, and that's not good for the military brass that okayed the project.
@Wednesdaywoe19752 жыл бұрын
