I almost bought an LS2 but opted not to... it was also an ABS shell and they were made in China. I think Shark, Real, and Bilmola are all Thailand brands? But I'm not sure if I can trust the quality of Real or Bilmola helmets. ABS is OK as it is hard, but not flexible. I went with a Polycarbonate (flexible, absorbs impact better) from HJC, which is a popular Korean helmet brand. I almost considered the Carbon Fiber Zilla Bilmola helmet as it was only 1,250 THB more, but the helmet has not be tested by Sharp and I trust Sharp testing. Between the 3, I believe Shark is the best and has actually done Sharp tests in the UK. ECE is better than DOT but both are just pass or fail tests; no rating system. The 5,000 thb helmet I bought has a 5 star rating, and I believe there are a handful of 5 star rated Shark helmets.... but likely carbon fiber and priced near 20k thb. Edit: Another brand from Thailand is "Daddy" but I don't know about their quality. And also Index but I don't consider those helmets, more for dodging tickets here in Thailand.

so the helmet doesn't absorb any kinetic energy. Ls2 have never used plain abs, only composites.
