I like how Tae coming forward is very reminiscent of a Soul Train dance line. I remember watching them as a kid in reruns and seeing him smoothly come to the front brought a smile to my face. So much of this dance is MJ, but also just Disco Soul. Much like the song.

you can tell jimin got inspired by michael jackson during this entire dynamite era... he mentioned he had to improvise his moves just like the rest of the boys in the mv and guess which one are his moves in the mv? every single one he does is from michael, and the shoes in the dance practice as AJJ said, seokjin also said he learned his pose and the moonwalk from jimin 💓

Yes, I think all the of the choreo is very reminiscent of the Jackson 5 but Jimin does channel it moreso. It's noticeable in the kick but also in the "stomping" that Jimin (and radiates throughout the rest of the group) starts nearer to the end of the piece.

I'm sorry to the others, whenever there's dance practice vid i eyes just went to jimin. His dance is so flowing and pleasing to see. No matter how hard i try to look at others my eyes keep drawn back to him hahaha even if i wasn't searching for him but i can still see he stood out the most than the rest. The way he pointed his fingers like all so pleasing. A great dancer will always be perfect posture in every random shot, exactly like jimin. You can pause anywhere and it always seems like he is posing. That body line! Superb!!

I agree that this dance practice seemed a lot more energetic and detailed than the two performances I have seen so far. I don't know if they needed to make changes at the last minute or if they were a little nervous, but I enjoyed the practice more. First - these boys are FLAWLESS. But the practice videos are what made me become a fan; the music videos (and live performances) are beautiful and all , but when you strip them of the designer clothing, props, lighting etc.. just watch them perform during “practice” - they really are on another level! This was the first BTS video I’ve ever watched (sorry, I caught the BTS bug late in the game😅) and right away Taehyung caught my attention. I didn’t even know their names when I watched this dance practice.😆 But wherever Taehyung placed in this choreography, my eyes went with him. He just has that swag that locks you in. You can never see BTS or any of the boys slack off in their performances, whether in a dance practice or live performance. You always feel the energy in their performances that makes it very hard not to vibe along with them. Blaze & Adam getting that "focused face" on for the dance practice while mouthing the lyrics is A+ material. You can always tell the professionals by how intently they watch certain things. (I swear they catch something in almost every choreo that I completely missed.) I felt like I could see the wheels turning in Adam's head like he was counting the steps to practice the moves later.

this is why i love and been anticipating their dance practices because you can finally see the whole performance, unlike in the official mv, the camera just tends to focus on the member singing, not that im complaining about each member's solo shots though. it's just really amazing to see how they perform as a group and do those formations like the one in suga's part.! i had the same reaction as you guys at that part it was amazing! ^^
